Como reparar falla tv phillips
I do not speak Spanish, however, It sounds like you are having a problem with your Phillips television.
Could you tell me what the problem is?
I have a Philips model 27pt5445 with chassis L03.1
Check all high voltage caps with Mfs less than 10 . For example a 160 volt 2.2 cap or 200 volt 1 Mf or 250 volt at 4.7Mf etc. Always substittute with a higher dgree cap. Like an 85 degree cap to a 105 cap! And be sure you always have good solid grounds on anything with heat sinks, transistors. mosfets, vertical, powerline regs etc. Thanks for asking!
I have a line at the top of the screen which looks
you have a bad capacitor near the flyback transformer. I beleive it is a 100volt 10 Mf at 85degrees. Replace with a 100volt 10Mf at 105 degrees. This will cure your problem. Ah yes the location# is 2465 and near the flyback transformer. Be extra cautious, because the pc trace is delicate and you can ruin this and the TV. And you may as well replace capacitor 2415, it is a 160 volt 2.2 cap. By now it is week and will cause a shut down soon. Relace with same value at 105 dgrees for more dependable time! This cap is north east of the flyback transformer! Good Luck and be careful!
I have problems with this 27pt5445/37 philips tv
Did you replace cap 2465, 100volt 10Mf to cure the vertical problem? and You may still have a bad cap at location 2415, 160 or 200volt 2.2 at 85 degrees. Check this out! When the tv tries to come on does it make a very good effort with the picture tube cracklin on and then shuts down? If this is true you may need a mosfet, located at 7404. Part# 934054713215. Good Luck! This is a smd!
Problem seccion vertical
You have a bad capacitor near the flyback transformer. Location would be 2465. Look for a 100volt 10Mf cap. Esta no bueno! Pero cuidad senor. This requires special care to remove this cap or the TV will be ruined. The circuit traces are vey delicate. Cannot tell you enough....use extra care in removing this! Tambien.....change capacitor location 2415 as it is weak. It is a 160 volt 2.2MF. Good Luck....Mathias!

If the TV supports it, you can go into service mode by press ing the following on the remote control:
062596 i
This will take you into a service menu. It also changes channel as you press the keys, so change to a used channel to get a picture back.
I am not familiar with this model, but the principles should be the same.
Using the remote control to navigate the menu, you are looking for "allignments", and from there "Vertical Amplitude" or V/AMP or VA or similar.
BE CAREFUL when making adjustments, as you can permanently damage the TV if you adjust any critical settings.
When making changes, make a note of the original setting so you can put it back if its not the right option. Also only make changes 1 notch at a time. It will be obvious when you have the correct option, so if nothing is happening after 2 or 3 notches, then put it back. This will minimise risk to the TV.
When you have finished, look for a "Save settings" option, if not just press standby to get out of the service menu.
Turning off
something is overloading the power supply or you have a cold solder joint some where on the circut board.
If you are a tec. look for over heated marks on the board.
hope this helps

Channels have just changed.
It sounds like your tuner mode has been changed. To change this back to cable hit menu arrow down to install, then arrow down to tuner mode and change that to cable. That should take care of your problem, if not email me at

TV is timing out
The problem could be with the thermostat or faulty fuse. This has been a recurring problem with the following TV set. You can change it yourself or take it to a technician.
5-amp, 250-volt fuse pack ($2.50) at Radio Shack
electronics screwdriver set ($15.00),
There are 9 screws that hold the front to the back
