Dell W2606C 26 in. HD-Ready LCD Television - Page 9 Questions & Answers
The sound is off and will not come back on.
This happens in two possibilities
1)the tv is got stuck up in stand by mode.so sound is not coming.this needs reset.to reset unplug the tv from wall outlet and remove all the external device from the tv connected at its back.then wait for 10 minutes.then only connect tv to main power outlet.and turn the tv ON and check out.if still no sound.keep pressed the mute button for two minutes without leaving it.then check out.if still the same problem.then its internal problem.
2)there is tuner in the tv due to which you get sound in the tv.if the tuner card/circuit fails it has to be replaced so you can get the proper sound again.
if you are familiar with soldering and using multimeter you can try doing this.other wise getting it replaced by technician is advisable .
this will help.
thanks.please keep updated.please do rate the solution if helped.thank you for using fixya.
My big screen Dell plasma
Have you tried pressing the Auto button? This will automatically adjust the picture settings.
Also, from the Dell support, take
advantage of the “Clock” function in the OSD menu and adjust (by increment or decrement
numbers)until those bars disappeared.
Or move to “Phase” function in the OSD menu again and adjust the monitor screen to its most
clear situation.
Try fiddling with the settings of the TV. If still, you have the same issues, then we can tell that this is a more serious problem - related to dead pixels.
But lets try the above settings first. And then let me know about the results.
Tv is not coming on when you press the power
Try leaving the TV unpugged for 30 minutes so the TV can reset itself.
If that doesn't work, most likely the TV has a power supply related problem.
I can't say it's 100% the problem because I can't actually look at the tv over the internet.
If by chance the TV is still under warranty, go that route.
If not under warranty and If you have some electronic experience, you can purchase a Service Manual over the internet and diagnose the source of the problem and fix it by soldering in the new part. The Service Manual will give you circuit diagrams, test points, and part# lists. Usually, cost under $20.
I hope I shed some light on the subject for you.
What can a tv tuner do, dose it work on a blank
A tv tuner card is a device usually inserted into a computer screen or tower. this device has a "Coaxial Cable" jack in the back so that "Cable" can be hooked into the monitor. Along with this most come with an input selector. this enables you to switch between tv and computer with the push of a button.
My Sources ( I simply Google'd "What does a tv tuner card do") (lol just so i dont answer incorrectly and look like a fool lol.
OK GL!

Nothing appears on my LCD TV display
1 Ensure the LCD TV display is turned on.
2 Verify that all the cables are properly connected to the LCD TV
display, including the power cable.
3 Check to see if there is a blue or amber light on the lower,
right-hand corner of the LCD TV display. A blue light indicates
the LCD TV display is on. An amber light means the LCD TV
display is in power save mode.
4 Ensure the proper source is selected in the Input Select menu.
See "Input Select Menu" on page 24 for more information.
5 Reconnect any devices that are currently connected to the LCD
TV display. If you are using multiple devices, connect and test
one device at a time.
6 Connect another device that you know is working properly.
7 Reset the original factory defaults. Press Menu on the remote
control, select Setup, and then select Factory Reset.
Problem Possible Solution No sound
1 Ensure mute is not turned on. Pressing the Mute button on
the remote control turns the mute function on and off.
2 If only certain LCD TV channels do not have sound, then you
need to correct the Input Select menu in the TV Menu (see
"Input Select Menu" on page 24).
3 Verify that the audio cables are firmly connected to both the
audio input connectors on your LCD TV display and audio
output connectors on your devices. Ensure that the cable colors
match the connectors colors.
4 Also, ensure that the audio cables are connected to the same
row as the video cables. See "About Your LCD TV Display" on
page 5 for the location of the connectors.
5 Reconnect the device using the same type of connector. For
example, if you are using the composite connector on the
bottom, try connecting the device to the composite connector
on the side of the LCD TV display. See "About Your LCD TV
Display" on page 5 for the location of the connectors.
After you connect the device, change the input source in the TV
Menu. See "Input Select Menu" on page 24 for more
information.
6 Connect the device using a different connector. For example,
if you are experiencing the problem using a composite
connector, try using the component connector.
NOTE: To connect to a different connector, you need the
appropriate cables for that connector. See your device
documentation for a list of supported connections.
After you connect the device, change the input source in the TV
Menu. See "Input Select Menu" on page 24 for more
information.
7 Test the device on a different TV.
52" plasma tv - turns on - and I hear something reset inside
i hear a clicking noise- the clicking noise is most likely you ballast trying to power the lamp, but failing. this may indicate a defective ballast if you have recenty purchased a new lamp.I recomend you have your lamp tested to help narrow down the cause of the defect. It's highly unlikely for a new lamp to be dead on arrival

How to remove child lock from BELTEK TV?
general steps:
Get the TV remote control and push the "Menu" button and select "Options".
Select "Child Lock" from the "Options" list. On some televisions, the "Child Lock" is named "V-chip".
Choose the "Remove Child Lock" selection. Highlight this and then hit the "Enter" button.
Enter the four-digit code that you used when you activated the child lock feature. If you cannot remember it, your only option to deactivate the child lock is to reset the TV. The instructions for resetting a TV is written on the user's manual of the TV.
Exit the TV menu once you have entered the four-digit code. To do this, press the "Exit" or "Menu" button on the TV's remote control.
If you don't have a remote, you might try leaving the TV unplugged overnight. Some TVs will 'forget' their settings if left without power for a long period. You could also potentially buy a cheaper universal remote, and use that to turn off the child lock.
