When I turn on myDell 32
To get rid of the screen. Unplug It.
The TV is locked in a state of only being able to perform the update.
So if this is possible why not just do it. (push the main button on the screen) Wherever it may be.

Online TV will not come on!
if your using windows 7 and your trying to make the tv work through the computer then you will need to go into control panel and use the graphics symbol to turn the external monitor (laptop) anything else i know nothing about unless it has an engine
Software update
If your looking for a Computer driver for that you will need to go to the Dell site and download it from there.

Hello,
Problem is in either power supply or the Y-Sustain board.
The Y-Sustain is a relatively large board out of which go connections to the side of the display; it's therefore closer to either the left or the right side of the display, has at least one rather large heat sink on it and fat power cables connecting it to the main power supply.
Often there are fuses on that board - one or more. Check those.
if they are blown you can try to replace them, but expect them to blow again - usually the whole board needs to be replaced.
often that *needs* to be done in a service center as there are some adjustments to be made after replacement.
If otherwise The T-CON board is usually under a metal shield cover and sitting on the middle top section of the screen, you will see a very thin connector with VERY SMALL WIRE attached to it, be real careful when you try to remove this connector.
Make sure the number as printed onthe PCB match the one you are getting, since TV can have more than one version.
As you can see, there is F1 fuse on the left side of the connector.
Check to see if you do have 12v on it and it is not blown.
Hope this will help to solve the problem....
My tv wont turn on,
Hello,
power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Hope this will help in solving the problem...
Dell SE198WFPf backlights go off
Ok, I have now had 2 different Dell SE198WFP monitors
with the same problem (shutting down after a couple of seconds) and I had to read numerous posts on numerous blogs
looking for a solution to this "problem" before I actually figured it out. Everything that I'd
read suggested bad capacitors on the inverter board (and I'm sure that this is an
issue, but it wasn't mine.) After
replacing all of the caps on the inverter I still had the same problem.
Long story short, I found (on both of my SE198WFP monitors) that
at least one of the four CCFL backlight tubes had a burnt wire on the end of
it. Period.
Now I'm not sure if this is a common problem with this
monitor or not, but it was in fact the problem with both of mine, and after fixing
these wires both monitors now work just fine
:-) It seems that all four CCFL's
have to pull the same amount of current or the inverter trips the overload and
just shuts itself down. I hope this
helps!! "And good hunting"
:-)

Hi,you might wish to unplug the TV for an hour or more. If this power reset does not allow the TV to turn on component failure is indicated. These sets are assembled using the wave soldering process they are known for having cold solder connections.
The safety circuitry shuts the TV set down or will keep it from turning on when it detects a problem. This model of TV has over 2,000 parts, which includes millions of transistors inside the integrated circuits. The capacitors will change value, leak and become defective. Resistors will change value and burn. Diodes and IC can go bad.
This may have a domino effect and cause other parts to fail. Replacing one defective part may make the TV operate for a short time but the part will fail again if the parts that caused the failure to begin with are not replaced.
The only way to know for sure which parts that are no longer within factory specs and for a proper repair all the electronics must be diagnosed by someone with the correct electronic test equipment specifically designed for TV service and the skills to use the test equipment. I wish I could tell you there was a quick fix or button to push that would fix the TV but that is not the case or the solution needed to get the TV operating correctly.
Vertical amp chip needs re soldering.--- very common !
Vertical amp chip has failed and needs replacing !
Failure of electrolytic capacitors in vertical circuit
Failure of resisters that supply volts to the vertical circuit
Failure of deflection yoke ( not very common )
Also it might be a convergence board failure. Changing one board will not necessarily fix it. It is recommended to change all 3 boards in the unit. many try this as a DIY and fall afoul because it is a specialist job to retune and reset the parameters. The cost then becomes greater than if a tech did it correctly the first time. Be advised it is not a simple DIY.It requires soldering and desoldering skills, specialized tools and a knowledge of circuit diagrams.

Good morning! I have
Capacitor issue on the power supply.
They look like this:
A professional will need to take your tv apart and replace/repair this for you, as it can be dangerous playing with these high voltages!
Thank you and best of luck!~
Hi, i had remove vista
The issues that you will have when DOWNGRADING is the availibility of drivers that can run the newer hardware. Hardware capability has exceeded the ability of XP. Sometimes the boys at HP can direct you to drivers that will work. I strongly recommend against downgrading. If you have Vista, you will like Windows 7 much better, it quits asking for authorization on everything.
