Connect to dsn modern and

Your modem most likely needs to be powered-off for about 15 minutes in order for the NVRAM to clear the MAC address of the device that you previously had connected to it.
Unplug the power cord from the modem and wait about 15 minutes with the power off. After the 15 minutes, connect the router to the modem with the Ethernet cable and plug the power cord of the back in to the modem. One the modem has completed its startup, it should then work with your router.
If this does not work, then you may need to call your ISP to have them remotely clear the old MAC address from the modem so that it will work with your router.

The WEP encryption key is in your router's wireless settings. Log into your router and got to the wireless settings, you will need to get the SSID and the WEP key. Then go to your computer/laptop's wireless card and configure it with the router's SSID and WEP key, so it will then connect to the wireless router and the Internet.

The router shows it is

Hello;
First connect via Ethernet. Then
  • Click START'RUN and then type CMD
  • At the black window with the prompt(cursor) type ipconfig and search "default gateway"
  • Type the gateway address in the browser ej: 192.168.0.1
This is for enter the web administration of the router. I don't know your revision. But I will get you the Hardware Version: A1 Firmware Version: 1.04
  • Aim for Status as the picture above
On the WAN section is the actual Internet. WAN = Wide Area Network. Your computer is actually on the LAN = Local Area Network. The Computer looks the address on the router, then the router go to the WAN for the information. But this is transparent to the user. If the WAN is in cero on the addresses, you have to check the installation. when the installation are correct power cycle the modem and the router and try again. Always connected via Ethernet cable. I have forgotten my d-link

You can reset the router. Here is how!

Step 1: With the unit on, place a paper clip into the hole on the back of the unit labeled Reset.

Step 2: Hold paper clip down for 10 seconds and release.

Note: Do not repower unit during this procedure.

Step 3: The unit will reboot on its own. Once the WLAN light stops blinking, the unit is reset.

Resetting the router does not reset the firmware to an earlier version. It will change all settings back to factory defaults.

Note: The factory defaults username is admin, and there is no password.

Unstable connection

ome wireless networks based on the 802.11b or 802.11g standards transmit their signal in a narrow radio frequency range of 2.4 GHz. Various other electronic devices in a home, such as cordless phones, garage door openers, baby monitors, and microwave ovens, may use this same frequency range. Any such device can interfere with a Wi-FI home network, slowing down its performance and potentially breaking network connections.
The 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal range is divided into a number of smaller bands or "channels," similar to television channels. Many wireless products ship with a default Wi-Fi channel of 6. If encountering interference from other devices within the home, consider changing the channel up or down to avoid it. Some Wi-Fi channel numbers overlap with each other. Channel 1 uses the lowest frequency band and each subsequent channel increases the frequency slightly. Therefore, the further apart two channel numbers are, the less the degree of overlap and likelihood of interference.
If this won't work, Then consider buying a new wireless router as your current is deemed broken.

How do I password protect my WBR-1310 for my iMac?

First you have to access the router through web browser (Internet Explorer) by typing the IP address of your router in the address bar, which is usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 and lookup for the options to do the following: -
1. Change the SSID (Name) of the router
2. Change the default administrative user name and password (unless you've configured otherwise, the default username is admin and the password password.)
(The above step would prevent unauthorized access to your router)

Next step is to secure it:
1.On the left-hand side, under Setup, click "Wireless Settings" 2.Under "Security Options", select your desired encryption method (preferably WPA2-PSK)
3.Choose a Network Key - it can be anything, as long as it's 8-63 characters in length
4. Click Apply

Now your router and your connection would become secure and the user has to provide the network key to access the internet.

Hope this Helps!

Hi just iwant to put

WPA is a strong form of wireless encryption, however not all wireless adapters support this feature. If your wireless adapter does not support WPA you will want to use WEP to secure your wireless network.

You can find information on configuring your WBR router for WEP here

Step 1: Open a web browser and type the IP address of the WBR series router into the address bar (default is http://192.168.0.1).

Step 2: The default username is admin (all lower case) and the default password is blank (nothing). Click on OK.

Step 3: Click on the Setup tab at the top and then click on Wireless Settings on the left-hand side.

wpapsk01.jpg

Step 4: Select the type of WPA encryption you would like to use with your wireless adapter from the Security Mode drop down menu. For WPA-PSK select Enable WPA- Personal Wireless Security (enhanced).

Note: All wireless products on the wireless network must have the same level of security to connect to the network.

Step 5: In the WPA Personal section, configure the following:

  • Select the Cipher Type
  • Select the PSK or EAP
  • Enter your Passphrase
  • Re-Enter your Passphrase
Step 6: Click the Save Settings button to save your settings.
