Is it possible to restore this computer to factory

Most of the time, this is possible. This will erase EVERYTHING, and you should back up anything that you want to keep. Turn the computer on, and immediately start pressing the F11 key. This should bring up a system restore message, from there, you just follow the instructions. But be careful, back up anything you want to keep, and also, of you have any encrypted files, unencrypt them before backing them up, or you will never be able to open them again.

Mx6128 gatway hard drive

The smallest hard drive that can be purchased is approx. 100Gb. You need a Windows installation CD, and provided you have the product installation code (it should be on a Windows label on the bottom of the laptop) installation is fairly straight forward. You may be able to get a Windows CD from a computer shop, they may install Windows for you at a cost. You need to download the device drivers for the laptop from the Gateway WEB site.

How to HDD PAssword Removal for Gateway MX6128 Laptop?

The difficulty of unlocking a HDD password will depend on how old and what model the computer is. You might want to try to crack it before trying other methods. Removing the HD will not fix the problem either. Your best bet is to contact a company that can do it for you. Here is a link to one such company with more information as well:

My mx6128 is dead

Check and see if your power brick's light is on. The power brick is that black block of plastic on your power cord. If that light is dead then the power brick is bad. That should be your first item to check.

Cannot turn it on!!!

It could be that the power at the other location was either too low or too high and has burnt your power supply. Some appliance aren't affected by this as much as a laptop would be. To test this, go to your manufacturer's web site and look up the LED flash codes. That should tell you what those four flashes mean.

On the off chance that all it did was corrupt your BIOS memory, you could take the cover off your laptop and remove the CMOS battery. That's the almost quater sized battery that looks like it belongs in an oversized watch. Pull that out of its clamp gently and leave it out for 5 minutes and then try to start it up again. Sometimes this can reset a tiny breaker in the motherboard that protects agains only the smallest of power problems.

Resource conflict-how do i resolve?

It appears you have a driver issue. What you can try is reinstalling them.. To do this just insert your main board cd and install the drivers of it..

If that fails remove the drivers and let windows axcess the generic drivers and then reinstall your drivers.
TO remove a driver , click start, right click computer
click properties then hardware then device manager
right click your devices to the let, the ones with the confilct, main board and wireless adapter , and choose uninstall..
another thing you can try
is downloading tune up utilities from www.phazeddl.com and running the registery scan..

If the above fails as a last resort , back up your data, format your harddrive and reinstall windows as well as your drivers and software. If after that the problem persist then a hardware device is defective ,, i'd say your wireless adapter thats why the system crashes when you run it.. Replace it..

let me know what happens

I need to factory restore

Not enough information to answer. Need manufacturer and specific model number before we can help. Generally, though, laptops come with one of three ways to restore. 1. The manufacturer supplies a restore disk. This can be a self-booting image of the original load, or it can be an OS disk and an accompanying drivers disk that needs to be installed to restore the unit. 2. The manufacturer provides an application on the drive that the user is supposed to use at the time of purchase to create a set of recovery disks. This application is usually a 1-time-only thing and you cannot make multiple recovery sets with the app, but you can burn copies of the disk(s) you make. 3. The manufacturer places a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive that allows the user to restore the original factory image. There is usually a hotkey combination written into the BIOS that will divert the boot to the recovery sector when pressed at bootup. Some manufacturers offer both options 2 and 3. But if you got a set of recovery disks at time of purchase, chances are there is no recovery partition on the drive. Recovery partitions are nice and convenient until the problem is the hard drive itself. If you can provide a specific model number, we may be able to better determine which type of recovery option(s) are available for you PC.
