Fujitsu Lifebook C2330 Monitor dark
ih some older lap tops have a wheel on the side of the screen that enables you to adjust the screens light or darkness. please excuse me if I am stating the obvious but I am not totally familiar with this model
as for the hissing this sounds like the fan needs cleaning as it is running under speed and causing the system to slightly over heat which is why the light keeps flashing..
In reply to your question with regard to can it be fixed is it worth it. if it was mine I would take it apart and clean the fan. In your case you should take it to a small out let to get it checked over. Hope this helps
Dead, external power supply ok
The way I lifted the keyboard was to insert a small flat blade screw driver at four points at the front of keyboard where there are metel tabs one at front of FN key and one to left of space bar then the alt to right of space bar and the downward arrow. insert screwdriver in and back towards the front and gently lift.Hope this helps
Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3405
i might be wrong but i thought on the fujitsu laptops you have to remove the keyboard to get access to the ram and there wasen't a access pannel on the back.
might be wrong but i have upgradedb quite a few.
if it is on the back the clips that hold the pannels in are normally quite chunky and require a bit of persuadence :) dont be afraid to give it a tug :)
have a look on the net for dissmantling guides for your model.
hope this has helped.
Fujitsu Amilo L7310
I have L7310GW - maybe it is similar.
The BIOS battery is deep inside the case and needs full strip down to reach it. I know because I have just taken one apart. Need to undo all screws on base and remove keyboard and screws under that and hinge cover screws and steel plate under keyboard and remove mother board to find it.
Good luck
Laptop says 73 blocked
On the 73 blocked icon - click on it and it will allow popups from that site.
Check Internet Explorer - Tools - Internet Options - Security settings to see if set too high.
Check Control Panel - User accounts and family safety - Setup parental controls - select the user you are logged in as and see if you can change the settings (only if you have a limited account).
Amilo xa series
The fan speed is controlled by the processor and BIOS. It is on full speed when it starts, but the processor turns it down again as soon as it starts to run.
Could be loose memory modules or the processor heatsink has come loose. Try taking off the back compartments and check everything is fitted OK.
Unblock sites on laptop
You need to adjust you internet explorer settings. Right click on the internet explorer, select proprties, here you will find various settings that you can adjust to allow various sites. There is also a exeptions section in the advanced settings that you can allow any site to be opened no matter what.
EMachine won't complete restore, clocks on "What is the name of your computer"
There is a good possibility that the disc is corrupt. First try a different disc or test your disc in another machine. However, you can't totally rule out the hard drive yet. If the hard drive has a bad or failing sector, it will do the exact same thing. Most of the time when I run into this type of problem it's the disc. Another way you can check the disc is to copy the disc or make a disc image to the hard drive. If the disc hangs up or won't copy or make an image then the disc is corrupt. This will have to be done on a different computer with burning software, obviously.

have you gone through the manual ..........
THE PORBLEM I'M FACING
The drivers can be
downloaded from this page but you might like to use the serial number of the notebook to get right to the correct location, as the page isn't well written and was playing up when I tried to go through the product selection.

CMOS BATTERY
I couldn't find a parts breakdown for that model, but 99% of all laptops will have a few screws hidden under the keyboard.
Some models, you have to take the LCD hinges off too.
Also, remove all panels from the bottom, and remove any cards, cd-roms, etc that may be in them. Basically strip the laptop down to nothing. You're bound to find a few screws you missed.
Laptop power switch
it is unlikely you will find the switch (component) to replace (unless you get another laptop for parts) and yes, you would have to solder
BUT take it apart and see if the switch is part of a module, if so you may be able to get it by calling Dell support or find it on another site. write down any part# you find if it is a module and google it.
when I say module I mean a part that plugs in
hope this helps

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo D 1845
Hi!
I already locate and remove HDD of Acer and Toshiba laptops. And in my observation, almost all laptops have their HDD located at the bottom.
To be sure of this, turn and look at the bottom of your laptop, then if you can notice a somewhat sliced plate, with around
2 1/2 inch by 3 1/2 inch size, attached with visible screws, then try to open it. And as you did, you will find the HDD there. (that is if you already seen a HDD in a market without case. Cause familiarity can confirm it to you. And sometimes it is enclosed by metal plates.
