Some dvds do not run properly in my dvd player
check the region code of the dvd that u bought...if its not according to your country region code then the dvd would play only in laptops and pc dvd drives..u can contact the service station of philips and ask them to unlock ur dvd player so dat it becomes region free..i had the same issue with my dvd player

well.. philips dvd 622 is a good dvd player.. but it won paly any pirated versions of dvd's ..though u download it from net..check for the good versions. also check whether is a rip or zip file k.
Incorrect region codde
This is for DVP31XXX series i hope it works all on DVP31 series. It has been tested on DVP3146K /51 and it has been worked...
1. Make sure there is no disc in the player.
2. Turn power off and on again.
3. Open the tray.
4. On the remote, hit 9879 and then 0. This changes unit to Region 0, meaning it'll play all regions.
5. Hit OK on the remote.

Yes. In order to get the dvd out you will have to grab a knife or something similar to pry the front cover of the drawer off. Then get a pair of pliers and pull the drawer out. Careful not to damage the disc when you do it.

Possible that the mechnism is jammed or the drive control is not working or the loading motor is not working.
It will be good to remove and check for mechanism movement with a manual action, check the motors and then check to see if the logic works from teh processor when the eject is presssed. If not the control board/motor drive is faulty.
