Windows 8 consumer preview not working
The D800 specs look a little on the low side. The only option is to remove Windows 8.In my opinion, it will only do well with touch pads. The rest of us will stay with Win 7. It's a work horse. That's that same reason so many people loved XP. Your only problem is the hardware failure which needs attention.
Dell lcd hinges locked
No! you are on the right track, when you mount them on the bottom section, test the hinges before the screen is secured.
Ibm think pad does not charge
Hi There,There are two things that may be wrong:1 - check your power supply with a multimeter to ensure that it is putting out the proper voltage constantly. AC power supplies generally have a three year life span, shorter with laptops because they get pulled, shoved, twisted, etc.2 - check that the power input pin on your laptop is in good condition. The board may be broken and you may need to find a new laptop.
Wi fi video freeze
Change the make of the wifi unit? Chipset overheated maybe your problem?
My dell latitude d800 will not let me access the desktop
You can get a Recovery CD from the Dell WEB site. You can download the recovery CD and device drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, theService Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Click on thislink to download the drivers: -

Shows i have excellent signal but video freezes often on dell d800 laptop
Does it freeze when you play a DvD on the system? if not, Video Memory is probably not the problem. I would say your problem is probably the streaming or downloading from the site you are watching the video from. Your line speed might not be high enough (for example, AT&T sells different line speeds and the lower the speed, the slower the download). How much main memory do you have? That might be a factor too. I would say you should at least have 1 to 2GB of memory.
