Windows 8 consumer preview not working

The D800 specs look a little on the low side. The only option is to remove Windows 8.In my opinion, it will only do well with touch pads. The rest of us will stay with Win 7. It's a work horse. That's that same reason so many people loved XP. Your only problem is the hardware failure which needs attention.

I have no sound on my computer, no volume app at

Ok go into the control panelsystem properties and open the "Device Manager" then go to "Sound Video & Game controllers" section and highlight your sound card by clicking on it once and then hit "delete" on your keyboard or "right click" on it and choose “Uninstall” from the drop down menu and when it ask if your sure you want to remove this device ? choose “Yes” and when the uninstall is complete then reboot your computer and the sound card should reinstall itself

If it fails the install due to not being able to find the install files then you will need to either tell it where the files are located or if you do not know then you will need to go to the Dell website and download the driver and install it .. But either way you will need to uninstall and reinstall the driver to get it to work again..

Ibm think pad does not charge

Hi There,There are two things that may be wrong:1 - check your power supply with a multimeter to ensure that it is putting out the proper voltage constantly. AC power supplies generally have a three year life span, shorter with laptops because they get pulled, shoved, twisted, etc.2 - check that the power input pin on your laptop is in good condition. The board may be broken and you may need to find a new laptop.

You can get a Recovery CD from the Dell WEB site. You can download the recovery CD and device drivers from Dell WEB site, the support download page. Make sure you select your model desktop or laptop, better still, type in the Service Tag number, it is printed on the label on thebottom of the laptop and on the back or sides of a desktop. (If the Service Taglabel is missing then go into the BIOS setting and on one of the BIOS pages, theService Tag number will be displayed). This will open the page where thespecific drivers for your model computer are located. Also make sure you selectthe Windows of the drivers for your Windows operating system. Shows i have excellent signal but video freezes often on dell d800 laptop

Does it freeze when you play a DvD on the system? if not, Video Memory is probably not the problem. I would say your problem is probably the streaming or downloading from the site you are watching the video from. Your line speed might not be high enough (for example, AT&T sells different line speeds and the lower the speed, the slower the download). How much main memory do you have? That might be a factor too. I would say you should at least have 1 to 2GB of memory.

Make sure the router is getting online. You might have to cycle the power (unplug for 30 seconds and plug it back in) on the router.
