Sounds like a short in the inverter. Remove the bezel around the screen the long thing on the bottom is the inverter if there is a foil heat shelid close by cut some of it away from the inverter

try starting it in safe mode....you do that by pressing the F5 key before windows starts up.. like right after you turn it on...once your in safe mode do a real good virus scan..i have seen that happen and it was a virus
