Hi, You can remove the lumbar support pillow when you feel baby needs more space - its needed for a newborn baby to keep them flatter, but once they need more room (normally around 4 months old) you can remove it. The headhugger should be left in place as long as possible for maximum protection in a side impact - the lumbar support cushion can be removed as demonstrated in the attached image.

Hi Maxi-Cosi do not produce the adapters for the carseat to be used with Mamas & Papas chassis. Adapters would be designed, tested, approved and sold from Mamas & Papas. If the adapters do not fit the carseat they need to investigate this for you.
