Please tell me what the version of bluetooth firmware is showing up in your unit. You can access this by pressing the wrench symbol, then the gear symbol, then "about". The latest bluetooth version is v3.4. If it shows up as 0.0, then you need to reflash the bluetooth firmware.

One note: Everytime you update the bluetooth firmware, it erases your pairing information with your phone, so you will have to re-pair your phone with your Nuvi.

Sorry to say but your screen is most likely damaged. You should never store a LCD display in the cold. First, the cold slows down the screen's response time... after all.... LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Display.... what does "liquid" do when it's cold? Also, there is a chance that condensation develops inside from your car being cold and then heated when you drive it. Not good for electronic devices.

The screens can be replaced.

2. Go to the secure location where the PIN was set and it won't ask you for a PIN.
3. Send the unit back to Garmin to be unlocked.

Sorry but there is no master reset. The PIN is written into memory that can not be erased. I have had success in unlocking Nuvi's but I will only do it for people who have a valid purchase receipt from a major retail chain and if they can provide me with their Garmin registration info so I can verify that they are the rightful owner.

There are too many of these units out there that are stolen and the culprits are looking for a way to bypass the PIN. This is why Garmin added this feature to their GPS's.

I am having the same problem. I think that Gramin is not tellimg us something. My signal will come a go, but never stay up for more them one minutes at a time.

I had the same problem. Sometimes the voice would start to speak and then cut off after a few sounds. I was still under warranty so Garmin replaced it (I think with a rebuilt I am now having display problems with).

Before I contacted them I tried software updates and resets and changing voices--alas it had to go back to the factory.

From technical experience, this indicates a broken display or display ribbon cable having become disconnected from the unit being dropped. The unit will have to be opened up to determine if the cable is loose or if the display has been damaged. The only way to determine if the display is bad is to substitute it with a known working display.

Have you tried pushing the reset button on the back under the antenna?

Try turning it on and listen for any sound, like the start up beep. Do you hear any sound at all after 30 seconds?

There's a couple possibilities that could have happened.

1. The screen and/or main board has been damaged.
2. The screen cable has come loose from the main board.

If the unit is under warranty (registered with Garmin) you can call them and see if they will fix it for you. They may charge you if they determine it was dropped or mishandled. www.garmin.com

Wow, as soon as I got my nuvi 360 I turned the Bluetooth off. I then updated to 4.40 and the bluetooth SW version is now 0.00 and i cant even enable the bluetooth again. I think we have the same problem. I wish I could help but I am in the same boat.

Download Garmin Express from Garmin and install to your PC. Plug your GPS into your PC, Garmin Express should identify your GPS and give you options to update maps and software.

Go to Garmin and download and install Garmin Express, Plug your GPS into your PC. The GPS should power on and Garmin Express should identify it and tell you of any updates. If the GPS does not power on (it should go into usb mode), then contact Garmin for warranty work. You can also check the power adapter in your vehicle. If the red light does not come on, the adapter either has a blown fuse or went bad, causing your GPS battery to be discharged. It is quite possible that your battery is discharged. You might leave it plugged into your PC overnight if the battery is dead.

Go onto the Garmin web site and reset the 1450.

The LCD display contains both the display and backlight. They are integrated as one piece. Therefore the entire display needs to be replaced. The backlight connections are soldered to the LCD connections. Replace the entire display.
