My acer 3400 on startup

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. This happens when the Windows system corrupts. Try and start the computer in safe mode, you can do it by pressing F8 key continuously when you turn the laptop on. If not then check whether the RAM dim is correctly and firmly installed, to check this you'll need to disassemble the laptop. Also make sure that the fans are working.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

NOT CHARGING CANT TURN ON

The modern adaptors are 'switched mode' that allows them to accept a wide range of input voltages (typically 100-240 VAC). Unfortunately, they have some components in them that are critical to their operation and on these, many mfrs. like to cheat on quality. This causes the early demise of the supply.
I saw Acer supplies offered at <$20 US searching on Google so I suggest you replace the supply. Note; this may not fix your problem anyhow as most laptops have a bit of circuitry inside to control the input from the pack and choose whether to use the battery or not. If that fails, the unit may not receive input from either.

I own a acer ferrari 3400

The freezing, if you say there are no registry problems, could be a spyware or trojan running in the back ground. although you say you have norton it doesnt pick everything up, and some trojans cannot be removed when the pc is running normally so the best thing to do is start the notebook in safe mode (F8) on boot up and select start windows in safe mode) and run both the below programmes. They are both free and free updating, the registry cleaner programme to download first clears any unused or irrelevant registry files, the second is an anti spyware removal programme to check for things norton has missed. http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/ http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10045910.html Another problem could be corrupt or conflicting drivers so ensure all you drivers are upto date on the Acer website.

Lcd acer al1917w display blang white

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor. 2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor. 3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on. 4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works). 5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord. 6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced. 7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Once there enter the model number OR service tag of the laptop then request driver (usually found in the web site's "Support Section"). There you should be able to find all the drivers for your model laptop- If this didn't help you then simply get the Intel software partner Reginout to fix all the errors which causing black screenBest of luck

Power surge, nothing working

When you connect the power adapter into the laptop, does the power LED light up? If not then - The battery adapter or the adapter's power lead or the laptop's power socket could be faulty. Check power adapter's DC plug that connects into the laptop power socket with a multi-meter, the voltage should be slightly higher than the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the adapter. If the voltage is zero or way below the voltage that is printed on the label then the power adapter is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the adapter is OK then connect it to the laptop and power it up, then look at the power/battery charging LED light and wriggle the power plug in the laptop's power socket. If the power/battery LED light flashes and in a certain position this LED light stays firm, then the power socket is either faulty or it has a dry solder joint where it is connected to the motherboard. This can be repaired but it requires the laptop to be completely dismantled to get at this power socket and repair. If you cannot DIY then I suggest you get a quote first.
