http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socket_S1Come down from it to the whitish rectangular Heatsink. Go across to the Right from it, to the SiS 302ELV Video Bridge chipset.Turn left at the old Oak tree, and head south.NO.....just wanted to see if you were following along..........lol!Go the Right side of the SiS chipset. Go to the Middle.(Middle/Right side)Go straight across to the large Power MOSFET.Looks to have P015 silkscreened on the motherboard, under it.(Can't make out last digit)It is sitting Vertically. Length goes up, and down. Now come straight down a little bit.Stop at the Power MOSFET that is the same size. This one sits Horizontally on the motherboard.Looks to have P010 silkscreened under it.

C: Drive space issue
Hi Ginnydoll,
You need to used Hard Drive Partition which you can resize your available space by increasing drive C: capacity and decreasing available space in your drive d: capacity without deleting any files on it. And this is not a harmful to your hard drive all your important files are intact in each destination.
If my solutions sounds great please email me for further assistance.
[email protected]. because it is really hard to demonstrate on this page because there is no features to attached pictures for visual instructions.

I am unable to display any webpages. i am
open internet explorer click on tools then goto internet options
then click the advanced tab go down to the reset button and reset internet explorer to the defaults.
then after that is completed close internet explorer and reopen internet explorer and see if the web page comes up.
Low memory. C-drive full, but D-drive, which is of equal capacity, is empty.
I have been here too. You physically have one hard drive and the C: partition is full. I used a program called partition magic that will allow you to repartition your hard drive without erasing anything you currently have installed. It is a really cool program, it just takes a while to do the procedure. You can Google several ones, but I suggest the one from Paragon.
I hope that I have provided the correct information that will assist you in the resolution of this issue. If you have any questions, please post back with a comment to this thread.

Step 1: Restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer Windows Advanced Options Menu Please select an option: Safe Mode Safe Mode with Networking Safe Mode with Command Prompt Enable Boot Logging Enable VGA mode Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked) Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only) Debugging Mode Start Windows Normally Reboot Return to OS Choices Menu Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice select safe mode with command prompt Click start run type cmd press Enter black screen should open DOS mode this will vary depending on your operating system type in net user username For eg. Disc space is divided between C drive and D
In Windows 7: Control Panel (click on Classic View) / Administrative Tools / Computer Management / Disk Manager
This allows you to see the partitions of your hard disk and perform various actions. Right-click on the C: partition to see a command Extend Volume... Before doing anything I strongly recommend your studying about this further as I am not an expert, and your system may be set up differently. For example D: drive might have to be formatted to NTFS if it is a FAT partition or vice versa to match C: but I am not so sure about this step. I would guess you need to shrink D drive and then extend C:, but it is just a guess. Good luck.

Many Bad Sectors fat32, trying recovery disk
Hi,
It sounds like your HDD is faulty, usually a hardrive can operate with bad sectors but still a risk.
My best advice would be to get a new HDD and recover back on to the new one, even if you did manage to recover onto your current one you may still have problems in the future.
I usually only allow a HDD to fail S.M.A.R.T tests 3 times over any given period and then I just replace them.
Thanks
It won't charge and the power and batter light are all blinking
The first steps you could apply are-1. Check the plug points. Test some other charger on the same plug point. If it's working, then go for the next step.2. Use an
alternate acer aspire 3000 charger. If you have a friend with the same laptop / same charging adaptor, borrow it and see whether the laptop is being charged from that. Or you could go to an electronics shop and see whether they have a spare charger just for checking purposes. If no adapter works, then it's not the adapter's fault, it's the fault of the laptop charging port.3. To be sure, you could attach your adapter to an extension cable (a spike guard would be suitable. It prevents sudden peaks in current, thereby protecting your laptop from damage) . If it doesn't charge still, it's a fault within the laptop. To check the charging port within the laptop, you'll have to go to a hardware specialist (assuming that like me, you're not adept at hardware!) . The specialist should guide you properly. If the laptop is within the warranty period, you could try the service centre. Hope I've helped :)

What games? What does it say? Return games to shop for replacement.

Remove
all USB attached devices like drives.
You may
need to roll back system with System Restore. Under Safe Mode (press F8
during boot and choose Safe Mode).
Win 7 -
Start > Search type System Restore.
XP - Is
Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Restore. Now choose a
date prior to problem. You may have to try a few dates.
Uninstall
last program(s) that was installed, again in safe mode.
To
eliminate possible bad RAM. Unplug PC, open case, and remove all RAM. Test
one DIMM at time, one slot at a time.
Re-install
Windows. Clean install works best, but all data will be lost.
Lastly
you may have other hardware problems. If it does another blue screen after
reloading windows, especially with a clean install.
Mouse touchpad, keyboard, and usb drives will not work
One thing you can try (for the touchpad)
Acer have got a function key to turn it on and iff (i thought mine was broken for a year). Hold the function key, which is located bottom left of keyboard, and then press F7. It should be F7 anyway.
Hope that helps for your touchpad
Delete duplicate files
You can do a search (F3) without any fields. Or use a 3rd party software. This is the most logical solution.
