20 Most Recent Dual XDVD270 Car DVD Player Questions & Answers

The Dual XDVD270 shipped with a 12V 3A AC adapter. (It was similar to the DC car adapter except for having a polarized 120V plug.) You can ask if a replacement adapter is available here: http://www.dualav.com/support/parts.php . They will need the serial number of your unit. Otherwise, I'd check with any store that as Universal Adapters for one that gives 12VDC at 3A. (You may have to try several adapter ends to get the correct polarity.) I've gotten some from Radio Shack in the past; these days those prices are higher than some online vendors. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Google manual and model number to download a manual.

It sounds like the DVD player itself is not working, maybe you can see if the laser unit moves if you hold down the "closed/open" switch, DO NOT LOOK directly into the laser, it will damage your eyes, tilt the unit so you look in from "the side".

If it does not move try to touch the slider to see if it just needs a little help, remember it is fragile, it is positioned and moved by small plastic finns (do not know if it is the right word).

Try to check/toggle the int - ext A/V switch on the left hand side of the unit, that might solve it if it is only on one screen, if it is on both it is most likely the DVD player itself, try with a clean good DVD to check if it could be a dirty or scratched DVD.

You can connect the PS2 Video out (composite video out) to any of the 2 monitors video connector and the audio at the audio connector, remember to select A/V ext (External Audio and video) both video and audio uses 3,5mm jacks, if it does not work you might need to try to draw out the jacks a little, the connectors are of poor quality so be carefull.

You also might want to check if the right system is selected PAL/NTSC, check the format from your PS2 and set the monitor to accept the same signal type, then it should work fine.

The only thing I am not sure how you do is to get the composite video out of the PS2 but study the manual or google and you will find it I guess, but my guess is that you allready have that part covered.

It is if you want to install reverse back-up camera to your rear bumper. You do not need to connect unless you have a reverse back-up camera.

I wouldn't, you need an amp that can support a 1.1 ohm load. I don't know of any head unit onboard amp that can!
