I have just installed a

Is this a brand new entertainment DVD set? Or is it working before? I'm regretfully informing you that this is a known issue with Audiovox DVD players. Some users find themselves having the same error.

1. Buy a DVD lens cleaner and load it to the DVD set. If you get the same problem, contact the manufacturer for possible replacement or repair.

Sorry Karel. But this is what I've found.

Rear Seat entertainment Volvo XC90

Hi

1) Make sure the discs you are using fit the correct format specified by your Unit . For example - if you are using DVD-R's that you have burned yourself and the unit does not support this format you will get this error.

2) Dirty laser lense causing the unit to have problems in reading the disk. Use a cleaning Disk like this one to see if the error resolves.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hama-DVD-Laser-Cleaning-Disc/dp/B00005UPDF

If the error remains and you feel confident to do so you can open the unit and look for the glass laser lense - usually blue in color under the DVD clamp. Use a cotton swab and some isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the lens in order to clean it.

Allow to dry naturally for a couple of minutes before re-assembling the cover on the unit.

3) Try a CD in the unit - if the unit reads CDs and not DVDs - this is an indicator of a faulty or misaligned drive mechaninsm within the unit itself. In this case the drive unit will require service attention and need to be replaced.

Obviously you should check that any disks you are using are clean and free from scratches.

Hope this helps. Please do rate my answer. Many Thanks.

My D1709ES unit say's no disc?

Make sure you try a few different disc's and clean the disc's as well.
Disc cleaning kits are available at retailers that sell the players.
if you want to save a few bucks you can clean the disc's the way I do. it works as good or better than the cleaning devices.
Spray a small amount of windex on the disc and use a soft cloth like a bath towel or terry cloth, something soft that won't scratch the disc (paper towels can scratch disc's) to clean it with.

If that does not help you may need to clean the lens on the laser pick up. You can find a cleaning disc at many retailers that sell DVD and CD players. The disc has some very fine brushes on it and you put it in the player and run it for about 20 to 30 seconds.
If that does not help either, you will need to have it taken in to a repair center for service.
There are no other options for an end user to perform that can make the disc play.
The problem will require some good troubleshooting skills.
many times the laser pick up is bad when it won't read the disc.
There are a few other things that will cause it as well.
You can count on the repair to cost at least $75 if you are lucky and maybe as much as $150 or $200, It just depends on what the exact problem is. There is just no way to tell without troubleshooting it, and that can only be done with the proper equipment.
Audiovox parts are not very easy to find.
I don't mean to discourage you, but if the steps above do not work, you may need to buy a new one, unless it is under warranty. In that case you will probably get it exchanged.
I hope this was helpful for you, or at least lets you make an informed desicion.
let me know if you need any more help with it.

Skipping problem

The problem is likely due to the "door closed" switch not engaging properly. To get better engagement, superglue a tiny piece of a credit card to the tab located in the lower lh corner near the DVD when the player is open. This is opposite of a portrusion that presses the tab down whne the unit is closed. The unit is restarting because it thiks it is being opened due to the switch not sidengaging from time to time.

What are the input wires on a audiovox amp777

The Audiovox AMP777 is a 4-channel power amplifier, and the input wires will depend on the audio source you are using. Typically, the amplifier will have RCA input jacks for left and right channels, and you would use RCA cables to connect the audio source to the amplifier. Some amplifiers also have a high-level input option, which would allow you to connect speaker wires directly to the amplifier's input terminals. However, it's always best to consult the user manual or contact Audiovox support for specific wiring instructions for your amplifier model.
