this driver is for Windows XP which was originally installed on your computer model. click the "download now" button and make sure to save the file to your DESKTOP so that you can find it after you download it. double click on the downloads' new icon on your desktop to start the installation.

NOTE: if you have changed operating systems from xp to vista or windows 7, you will need to hit the button that says "see all applicable models and operating systems" and download the appropriate driver for YOUR operating system.

First of all, check if the RAM module(s) sits firmly in the slot(s).

Now try this:
With the power cord disconnected and with no battery attached, press the power button several times, short pressings. Now reconnect the power cord and try powering up normally.
You can also try using 1 memory module at a time, with each one of the available slots in the laptop.

You can use the driver that you downloaded from the US site it is still the same, as your version of VIAO still uses English as default language.

When you start or restart your computer hold down F8 and go into safe mode and let it boot up. then just try to restart it and see if it boots now by itself or not. if this is still not the case put the recovery/repair disk back into the drive and boot from the DVD instead and repair the OS. One of the two solutions should fix your problem, if this is not the case get back to me.

u must install original sony windows by original recovery cd from ur laptop .
turn it on and push F10/F11 quickly then it goes to recovery from its hdd .

Sony does not offer the recovery dvd for download. You can actually burn yourself a repair disc, which you then can use to reinstall the OS.

But don't forget to back up your personal data first, otherwise it will be lost for good.

your power converter board probably failed its a common problem for that model, unless you are very proficient at repairs you would be better off going to a pro to fix it. my place is outside of lexington ky.

Most keyboards are removed by first removing the top bezel that starts above the keyboard and often wraps around the lid hinges. There are often screws in the back side of the hinges. this bezel most often snaps into place and will need to be popped loose after removal of the hinge screws. It can be a little scary the first time you do it. when this is removed the keyboard usually will have 3 or 4 screws in the top edge and tabs in the bottom edge. A ribbon cable will attach it to the motherboard.

The Microsoft website will give details of how to upgrade and the costs involved, though buying the new operating system on hardware and performing a drive format and a clean new load could make more sense. A computer that previously ran Vista will probably be a few years old and therefore have a low specification so you could be disappointed with the performance when running Windows 10. I have a very old pc originally running Windows 95 that copes well with XP without perceptible loss of functionality for modest purposes, which makes no sense at all. On the other hand a relatively high-spec laptop I own needs a fair amount of patience running Windows 7. You have to try these things but the results aren't assured and it is a bit like making a wager with your cash. Might be more economic to buy an up to date machine.

Hi Irene - There are many ways to send photos and so I am assuming you are sending them by email. If this is not correct, please provide more info. Within your email program send a new message. In the new message, click on Attach File or Insert Picture. Which ever you choose, it will open a box that will allow you to locate your photo files on your laptop. Select the ones you want and they will be added to the email. They will also remain intact on your laptop. Hope this helps. Thanks.
