Replaced Car battery, now stereo not working properly
Have you tried resetting the microprocessor?
Remove the detachable face. There is a small pinhole on the front of the radio about two inches from the left side near the bottom. Press this in lightly with a fine point pin or paper clip. Hold about 3 seconds, then release.
Replace the face and try it. Let me know.

It sounds like you are using an amplifier. Make sure you are using the blue/white wire to turn the amplifier on. The blue/white wire is amplifier remote turn on and the blue wire is power antenna remote turn on. The blue wire turns off when leaving tuner mode, turning the amplifier off.
My cdx-gt520 is not responding
Remove the face plate. There is a reset button that looks like a small pin hole. Use a ball point pen or a paper clip and press that button. Reattach the face plate and try to power up the unit.
What do you do when the radio says cd failure
CD Failure is what happens when a disk is not burned correctly and trying to play in a Audio CD Player. Or you have a Mass production disk that has some scratched near the inner circle of it. What this means is that the CD player is unable to read the CD you are trying to listen to. This can also happen when the CD player is Dirty on the Lazar Eye that reads the Disk. There is kits at Wal-Mart, Target, and Bestbuy that will clean the Lazar of the CD player. But try a few other CD to see if the issues still happens if it does then might be a the Lazar Eye that is dirty.

Try using a cleaner disc and follow the directions, and if that don't work try spraying some compressed air inside the slot, just sounds like has a dirty lens to me.
How do I get my radio to work? All I hear is
Plug in the antenna jack into the antenna hole in back of radio. Depending on the car you may need an antenna adapter. Cars that need antenna adapters are VW's, Nissans, New Honda's.
