I need to know the breakdown for the wiring in the 1999 toyota ca

SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE RUNNING THE POWER FEED FROM THE CAR THAT SUPPLYS THE FEED FOR LIGHTS OF THE FACTORY RADIO DOWN TO EARTH, IF YOU GET A VOLT METER AND TEST ALL THE FEEDS WHEN YOU SWITCH THE LIGHTS ON AND OFF, THIS SHOULD TELL YOU WHICH ONE, AS FOR THE RESTyou will need a volt meter and a 9v battery,
test all wires with meter to find a live with the ign switched off, ths is the live memory feed
the try again with the ign on, this is the switched live
there will be an earth/ground
light feed when you power the lights on.
when you do that to find the speakers
take a pair of remaining wires and place them on the 9v battery, work through the wires til you here a speeaker crakle, then continue till you find all speaker, that will allow you to hook up to a aftermarket unit,
or if you can get to a scrap car of the same year and type, cut the harness out and match up the wires
if the dash lights go on when you attach the 9v that will also tel you the dash feed is one of the 2

I am installing this stereo

Hi,

I have Few Options we could Try :-

1. 1. FACTORY RESET METHOD (Temporary)
(This isn't the most effective, but it is the easiest to try, so it's worth a shot since it apparently works on some units.)
** Go to the Menu
** Get to the Settings Menu
** Select <yes> to Reset to Factory Settings.

2. AUDIO CD METHOD (Permanent)
** Insert Audio CD
** Press PLAY
** Press STOP twice on remote
** Enter 26604 on remote
** Press ENTER
** Take out Audio CD and Insert a DVD

3. DVD METHOD (Permanent)
** Insert a DVD
** Let it play until you hear sound
** Press STOP twice on remote
** Enter 26604
** Press ENTER

The blue warning screen should immediately go away after pressing the last digit of "26604." Still press ENTER as a precaution.

Let me know, if problem still persists.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Tring to install blutooth to

The Dual XDMA7715 unit does require a separate module called the Dual BTM60, as technically the XDMA7715 is a "Bluetooth Ready" cd player.

Assuming you have bought this module, the next thing you need to do is 'Pair it" with your mobile device, which I will assume is your cell phone. This keeps it from connecting with other people's cell phones as they drive by your car.

Before you begin, you need to prepare your phone for paring. Check your cell phone's users manual if these instructions don't apply, but generally this means you find the Bluetooth menu on your phone, turn bluetooth on, and make the phone 'visible' which means your stereo will be able to see it in order to pair up with it. Usually, turning visibility on only lasts for about 30 seconds, so you may have to try this more than once to get the timing done right. Once paired, you won't need to turn the phones visibility on again until the next time you pair a device.

Now that your cell phone is ready to pair with the stereo,

1) Press the Phone symbol on the cd player or the BTM60, pr press MODE until 'DUAL_BTM60" is displayed.

2) Press and hold the phone symbol on the cd player or the BTM60 for 5 seconds, until "PAIRING" is displayed. The Bluetooth icon will flash every second. The Cd player will broadcast its "availability" for 60 seconds.

3) Complete the pairing from the Bluetooth menu of your cellphone by selecting "Search for new devices". When they find each other, the Bluetooth icon will illuminate solid, and your phone will say it has found device "DUAL_BTM60", and ask you for a password to pair it.

The BTM60 device name is "DUAL_BTM60".
The password you enter into your phone to accept the pairing is "1234"

Now that the devices are paired, you should be able to make calls handsfree, and play music stored on your phone.

I hope that helps.

Subs will pound then suddenly stop, when you turn

What you must do is check the amplifier when they stop playing.

Check wether the amplifier is not in protection.

If it is feel how hot the amplifier is. You may have the subs wired incorrectly to the amplifier.

Check the thickness of your power cabling. If it is not thick enough then the amplifier will also go into protection.

IYou can also try disconnecting 1 of the woofers to see if maybe you dont have a faulty sub.

Hello

Well my first thought is that you blew your sub. Does your amp have a power light on ? Is it green or red ?

If you have an extra sub or amp, or a friend does. Try switching one or the other out (sub would be easiest) and rule out which one is really at fault. But im still leaning towards a blown sub.

Post back if you have any further question's or comments. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

It wont let me wach a movie when im driving a blue

If it is a factory DVD deck installed up front, it won't let you watch a movie when you vehicle is in gear because it's a hazard and is illegal in many states and provinces. If it is an after market deck, there may be a work-around, however I do not have details as to how.

Wire diagram for daul 15 inch soundstream speakers

Hi Diaz,

We're going to need a bit more to go on. The amp configuration, single channel each or both on same, single or dual coil, that sort of thing.

The make and models of all components is always good to know from our standpoint.

You also need to think about power requirements when driving large speakers.

So comment back or repost with as much detail as possible.

Best regards
Mike

I hav a 95 berrta and im tying to put a head unit

Hello chrisuftring,

Here's a link to the wiring color code for the '95 Chevy Beretta.

You'll need to match the function of each wire from your head unit and the color code for that would be in your manual. Most aftermarket units are somewhat standard as far as power, accessory, ground, and speaker connections are concerned. But the wiring colors may be different for such leads as remote, power antenna, illumination, dimmer, and muting.

An Alpine head unit has the following wiring colors:
Blue - Power Antenna
Blue/White - Remote
Pink/Black - Audio Interrupt (muting)
Orange - Illumination
Red- Switched 12V+
Yellow - Constant 12V+
Black - Ground
Gray - RF Speaker (+)
Gray/Black - RF Speaker (-)
White - LF Speaker (+)
White/Black LF Speaker (-)
Violet - RR Speaker (+)
Violet/Black RR Speaker (-)
Green - LR Speaker (+)
Green/Black - LR Speaker (-)

With this head unit, you would wire Yellow to Orange, Red to Yellow, Black to Black, Orange to Gray, Blue to Pink, Gray to Light Green, Gray/Black to Dark Green, White to Tan, White/Black to Gray, Violet to Dark Blue, Violet/Black to Light Blue, Green to Brown, and Green/Black to Yellow.

Note that there are 2 "yellow" wires in your vehicle color code. You'll have to test them to determine which one is the accessory wire and which one goes to the left rear speaker. Using a 12V "test light" is the simplest. Connect one side of the light to ground. With the ignition ON probe the yellow wires. One of them should light the tester, the other one won't. Verify that the light goes out when the ignition is OFF and your have separated the redundant "yellows". The one that lit the tester is your 12V+ switched wire and the other one goes to the left rear speaker.

Hope this helps.

Do not have a sub output on receiver /do not know

Hello southernbike,

With a 5-channel amp (stereo L/R front, stereo L/R rear, and subwoofer) you only need the two pair of stereo inputs.

You do not say which brand and model of amp you have, but most have an output configuration similar to the Alpine shown in this link. Connect the front and rear RCA's from your receiver, your vehicle speakers to the respective output terminals, and your subwoofer to the 5th channel terminals.

Hope this helps.
