Hp g60-235dx notebook screen flickers
This can be caused by a few things. One the heat computer gets hot and flickers. Suggestion: Clean laptop of dust and debree at the internal level. This can be caused also by a video card which got hot and cracked the solder weld on the internal chip. This is a problem for most laptops when they get hot. There is several places that redo the boards for a fair price. There really is nothing you can do about that accept to replace the board or have it soldered over again to seal up any cracks. The way to tell is hold the PC with both hands and slightly bend it back and forth and see if it shorts out clears up or blinks. Third this could be also caused by the video cable came loose of if it was dropped it may have jarred the cable plug. The way to tell if that is the case is taking it apart and cleaning the cable input plug with dissolving alcohol and a q-tip wait until dry and re plug it in. One of the capacitors could be damage or bloated and needs to be replaced. You can also replace the screen as well. So as you can see there are several possible causes for this issue. I would recommend taking it in to a good shop and have them diagnose what is going on with the video or screen. Messing with it without experience can lead to serious damages if you do not know what your doing. Thanks for asking John
I have a gateway laptop
Hi! Welcome to www.fixya.com.
Its definitely a hardware issue. You can remove the battery and ac adapter and drain the power for 10 seconds. then use only the ac adapter. Press the power button and if it did'nt turn on. You have to call your manufacturer for motherboard replacement.
Hope this resolution fix the problem on your computer.
Thanks for contacting Fixya. Bye for now.
Computer crashed. Had it cleaned, but lost a bunch
You may have to call customer support for this problem. (
www.hp.com, support & drivers) If you're using windows, press F1 for help, type in DVD player, and you may have to check to see if the driver file is installed. You can install a new driver file over the internet. If you had it cleaned, take it back to to the shop where you had it repaired and make them fix it.
I hope this helps.

HP Pavilion zv6000:
After reading the description, I think you need to try updating BIOS and latest device drivers for USB. Because USB are getting power on that means there would not be any fault to from the motherboard.
So please try updating latest BIOS for your notebook.
If you can provide me the product no for your notebook and the operating system which you are using currently then I can find the one for you.
Otherwise you can also do the same.
Type in the product no. on
www.hp.com. Then go to software and driver download page, select the proper OS and search in BIOS ROM pack available for your notebook.
I hope this will help.

Power suppy ok but computer won't turn on
Try doing a power reset. Remove battery and power adapter, wait for 10-20 seconds then put the battery and adapter back in then turn the computer on. You can also try to remove the battery and just plug it in on the power outlet.
