Ze5170 not showing usb flash as boot option
1. The PC has to support booting from a USB flash/pen/key drive. There may be anywhere from 0-3 items to change in the BIOS to make this possible assuming your BIOS supports it. Some older bios's may refer to your flash drive as a USB floppy or USB zip.
2. The USB flash drive must support booting from it in general.
3. The flash drive must contain the boot/system files.
4. The flash drive must have bootsector area. This is done with special utilities.
5. References to "A:" drive lines in the autoexec.bat and/or config.sys files you copy to the drive after you make it bootable may result in errors.
6. There are several programs available if you do a Google search that will help you make your USB Flash Drive bootable as well.

First verify that any hardwire switch on the laptop is turned on. Some laptops have them and some don't. If that's not it, open the control panel, select system maintenance, then device manager. In device manager, scroll down to network adapters and click the "+" to see them. Right click on the wireless adapter and a menu should pop up. Pick enable from the menu. If enable is not on the menu, click properties. On the general properties tab, it should say if there is a problem with the adapter. You can go thru the tabs and see if updating or back dating the driver will help, etc.

Try this. Have the laptop turned off. Turn it on and see what key to press to enter Setup/BIOS. Once you get into the Setup/BIOS, fix the date and time in there, then save and exit. Boot back to Windows and fix it there also and you should be good from there. If not, then the motherboard battery is dead and you need to get that replaced.
