Look into the Workman Saturn B100 antenna. It's what I would use.

First thing I would do is check the SWR on the antenna. These newer radios have a strapping diode that shuts them down when the reflected power heats the finals up to keep from blowing them. Once they cool off they will work again.

CB radios and hand-held CB radios can operate on the same channel and be in contact with each other. Other hand-held radios do not operate on the same frequencies and even though they may have channel numbers the channels have different frequencies and will not operate to CB radios.

none, they are illegel. But if it were me I would run at least a 450.

None ,they are illegal . you could put just about anything you want to pay for. Just remember ,the man might get you and you loose all your equip. and get a hefty fine.

the problem could still be with your swr . If your jeep is fiberglass at the point where your antenna connects that could be the problem. move it to a point where there is metal to get a good ground plane and you should hear people talking.

there is a modulation transformer inside it is the smaller of the two. there is a variable resister next to it . that is the variable you need to adjust to get the modulation to 95%.

first off if you don't have the proper equipment to do this you will have a cobra 150gtl dx used in the box that you can use for a chock block. turn the wrong can and you will never be able to get it back to working order.

may be the mic's element/audio chip

Sounds like it is not connected properly.

can you read a block diagram? www.cbtricks has the block diagram,schematics and service manual. Then you can create your own splashbox.

the locations are markedbut any one with any knowledge would think ,red wire,if I follow it to its origin it will show on the board where its connected. Same with the other wires.

forgetting to turn it on. making sure its in CB not PA mode.turn squelch all the way to left and rf gain to the right

Cobra 150 &200 were amateur radios. and are no longer made. so thats totally different than a 29.

need more information but it could be a number of things.someone could have clipped the wrong diode to give it more modulation.Does it recieve at all? How about your antenna SWR , is it resonably low ? Is your power level low due to the tx problem?

OK. Possibly try amazon or google the radio for compatibility with the meter. Tom
