How to run a power cable from my 2000 300m
You normally have to drill a 1/2" hole depending on the size of your wire though the firewall and down the pillar then under the rocker panel by the bottom of the door (where you step in/out) and then on the side of the back seat to the trunk. Expect about 20-30min to run the wire. make sure you use a rubber/plastic gormmet on the firewall to keep the wire from shorting out and you need to fuse this wire off the battery. use the same amp fuse as your amp. (if 60 then use 60 at the battery)

I got a protection light on in my amp and low pass
Try unplugging all the speakers and then powering the amp up, plug in one at a time to determine when the amp cuts out to protection. Chances are you may have touching wires or a speaker that is about to blow or at worst a amp going/gone bad

I have a 1995 chevy blazer and im trying to
Hello stevenavila1,
Any bare metal on the vehicle is a "ground". If you are unable to locate an existing screw or bolt that goes directly into the frame or chassis, you can drill a small hole through the metal and use a self-tapping metal screw. Use sandpaper to remove any paint and primer down to bare metal before tightening the screw. It's also best to use a ring terminal or spade terminal on the wire.
Hope this helps.

Sony Xplod Amplifier Problem
First make sure you are using at least a 12 guage speaker wire for sub connections. Second make sure you have plenty of breathing room in your mounting position, these things need air badly. Third of all, Xplods are not very friendly if they are cranked all the way up on your dB boost knob. Only crank it about 3/4 of the way up, then use your equalizer settings to tweak the thump.

Wen radio is turned up ampp goes into protection
No diagram but you can printthis out. Choose 1 set of inputs for the subs on the amp (I usually use the low or rear which ever has more settings) You need to put the settings to low hertz and no high settings. Now in the output side you're going to use the positive side of the right side speaker and the negative side of the left side speaker (you can switch left or right as long as they are opposite sides!). Lets start with the negative wire connect it to the negative input on one of the subs, connect the positive wire to the positive input on the OTHER sub, then get an extra wire to connect the inputs not used on both subs. Adjust settings in amp and
radio and if it doesn't sound good use negative and positive outputs from one single output (only left or only right) Hope this helps

I have this item and wish to find a wiring diagram
To find wiring instructions go to this webpge http://www.caraudiohelp.com/how_to_install_a_car_amp/how_to_install_a_car_amp.htm this will instruct the wiring process. Also most any aftermarket amp will run with any aftermarket headunit, so long as the head unit has RCA outputs, enjoy......

Amp Power Protection
sounds like the amp gain is too high, grounded incorrectly, or the amp is bad. the ground wire should be no more than 2 feet long.

My sounds cuts off and then my green power light
Hello delmas_o,
This sounds like you are having a problem with the ground wire. When the amp is not properly grounding the amp will loose power the light will flicker and your speakers will stop working.
Make sure the ground wire for the amp (the black wire) is grounded correctly. The end of the wire or connector should be firmly grounded under a nut for example.
Post back if you need any further assistance. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Amp in power protect
Protection Circuit is bad. It needs to be serviced. If all speaker wires are disconnected and it's still in protection, it's got a problem. Hope this helps
