KitchenAid 24 in. KUDS02SR Built-in Dishwasher - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

If this is one of those dishwashers where a hose goes from the electric water valve up the side of the dishwasher, then turns down and sprays the water into a plastic "pocket" on the side of the dishwasher, first inspect the hose for cracks, then insert it into the U-shaped channel that's supposed to hold it into the pocket. Make sure it's all the way in. Anchor it in place with good duct tape. I've seen one or two cases where the original tape went bad and let go or even fell off; then the hose would come loose and start splashing some of the water outside of the dishwasher.
It won't close, so it
Seems to be a mechanical fault as only if the door closes the safety switch will latch on which will initiate the program to move forward.
What is require is to push the release many times , use a de-greasing spray into the door latch mechanism. if this wont work you might need to reassemble the door latch mechanism.- if mechanically minded.

Hi
Please check below video for drain pump removal---
Please refer these instructions for details---
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Turn off the water going to the dishwasher.
3. Disconnect the drain line from the dishwasher.
4. Remove the dishwasher drawer and turn it over.
5. Unclip the locking tab from the air cover, slide it forward off the rails, and remove the cover.
6. Use a screwdriver and unsnap the underside of the wiring cover arms, and remove the cover from the bottom of the drawer.
7. Wedge a screwdriver blade into the three top slots of the wiring cover and unsnap the cover from the motor housing.
8. To remove the hall sensor:
a) Disconnect the wire connector at P701.
b) Unclip the locking tab from the hall sensor board and lift the board up and off the motor/heater housing.
9. To remove the wash and drain motor and heater element assembly:
a) Remove the hall sensor (see step 8).
b) Disconnect the green wire from the ground terminal.
c) Remove the drain and fill hoses, and the electrical wires from the locking ring clips.
d) Disconnect the heater element wiring connector.
e) Unclip the two locking arms on the motor housing from the end of the drain hose, and pull the hose out of the housing.
f) Pull straight up and disconnect the three wire connectors from the motor terminals.
g) Lift the locking arm, and rotate the locking ring in a counterclockwise direction until the outer tabs line up with the tub slots. NOTE: The motor housing tabs and slots will also be loose at this point.
h) Lift the motor housing, locking ring, and heater element off the tub, and pull the suction nozzle out of the tub drain opening.
i) Remove the wash and drain motor and the heater element from the tub.
REASSEMBLY NOTES:
1. Check the motor and heater seals for wear or damage. Replace them, if necessary.
2. When you reinstall the heater element, locking ring, and wash & drain motor onto the tub, make sure that the seals below the locking ring and the motor housing are properly positioned to prevent leaking.
3. When tightening the locking ring, make sure that you tighten it fully so that the locking arm (shown in the photo to the left) is locked behind the tub. If the ring is not fully tightened, the locking tabs will not align properly with the slots in the wiring cover.
Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

Kitchen Aid KUDS02SR - Lower
You need to hold the center spindle with a pair of pliers and turn it while lifting up. This engages the spindle into the threads of the spray arm. A couple of turns will tighten it up.

you may have a vacume issue
along side of the dishwasher itself there is a loop of drain hose to create a trap - inspect. also inspect where it is hooked up & follow where the drain hose goes to it's final connection to be sure there are no up hill runs or other blockages.
Speaking of blockages,. did you inspect the dishwasher drain very well to be sure it is fully clear and somethign is not stuck in under the water?
If need be pull the machine out from under the counter and check the side hose and unhook the drain where it goes into your house plumbing...
Dishwashers can be cluegy when it comes to draining...

Kitchenaid KDPM604KPS dishwasher stops minutes into cycle
I couldn’t find any error code 2H but I did find an error code H2O. This code means insufficient water pressure. If the display reads 2H, it usually means the start delay function is turned on. The dishwasher will turn on in 2 hours if door is closed. This dishwasher is advanced. To understand all operations you should read the user guide or manual.

I had this exact same story with my new Whirlpool dishwasher. My daughter fell on the open dishwasher door and afterwards it wouldn't latch closed. After researching online, I learned that 90% of the time it's bent door hinges. At $$130 each, $260 total, I didn't want to replace the hinges. So I removed the hinges, took them downstairs to my shop, put them in the vise and straightened them back with a hammer. Just took a few good, solid hits on each hinge and they were straight again. I installed them back onto the dishwasher and it worked like a charm! Door latches just fine.
