Error code H5 01

It means you have had 5 jams in a row in the fusing unit. Open the left side door of the copier (roll the finisher out of the way if you have one). Open the green handle on the top of the fusing unit and carefully remove all of the pages stuck in there. You can use the green wheel at the back to turn the rollers if need be. If you have no jam, then someone already removed it and you just need to reset the code. to reset the code, push P * Clear * on the numeric pad. when it says enter simulation number, enter 14 and push the Start button for black and white copies. The machine will reboot and your code should be gone.

If you keep getting jams, you may have knocked the Fuser exit sensor arm out of place.

Computers cannot find the Sharp Scanner on the network

Are you using Sharpdesk? first check the firewalls, allow the exception, if that is not it, then from network scanner tool profiles, Change the Port, I believe it defaults to port 4687 - or 4689? (this uses an FTP port,) Allow this port in the exceptions. If the network scanner tool is not running, your machine will not communicate with the PC.

Sharp ARC-172M how the drums get out?

open the front cover. remove the toner cartridge/s by lifting the green lever and pulling the toner out. Open the left side door. look at where you just pulled out the toner and there is one screw (facing you) holding each drum in place - loosen the screw and pull the drum out towards you....done.

Yes H5-01 is when it jams in the fuser 5 times in a row, check the fuser section for a jam, the paper jams up in there and does't trigger any sensors, once you have confirmed that its clear reset with sim code 14

H4-00

There are 2 possible causes for this error - both closely related. H4-00 means the fusing temperature is not reached within a specified time. You can check and clean/replace the thermistors in the fuser unit, check the thermostat aswell. If thermostat rattles it is good otherwise press the reset button it. If everything checks ok reset the fuser code in service mode pressing the following keys :
P * C * then enter 14 and start then confirm action and restart copier. If error comes back then it could be related to the wiring harness to the PCU board (loose connector) or possibly a bad lamp. Check the lamps with a meter set to check continuity (you should get a beep if its working)

Error code F2-42

Are the lines horizontal or vertical? DO you get lines on B/W copies (black and white) also? If you try to copy a blank white page do you get the lines? Does the toner / lines wipe off after the copy comes out? If the toner wipes off after the copy comes out you have a problem in the fusing unit ( the hot area that fixes the image onto the page). If the lines are vertical then you have something inside the device that is dragging across the page as it goes through the device. If the lines are horizontal then you it could be the drum cleaning blade, the transport blade, or charge roller. The noise could be that one of the blades are bouncing. It could be that a gear is worn. Please give more info on the problem to better help.

Sharp AR BC260 color printing Lots of ghost lines in color prints

depends on what is the problem with it? if it's only toner on it, let it cool and clean w soap and water rag, then wipe clean. I suspect that it is most likely scratched and the coating on the fuser is missing, it should be a shiny smooth surface.

Copies and prints in color are black procesed, but in black are ok

Using CMY Color produces a Processed Black.
Using only K will produce a Black.
In the print driver on a PC change your default setting to Black, from the machine you can set it to use only black as well.
That Patch is on the transfer belt. which it will alwyas do, that is what color machines do.

Install the print driver twice and set one driver s Color Mode to color and one to greyscale. This setting can be accessed by right clicking on the print driver and selecting Printing Preferences, click on the Color tab and set the Color Mode appropriately.

FK is Fuser Kit. You can check supply status by hitting P * C * then 22 start then 1 start. You can scroll down pages. Alot of the numbers displayed will make no sense to you, because they are values not meter counts.

Sharp arc 262

Open the Left side door and remove the fuser unit by unscrewing the large green wheel located under the frame on the left side door below the fuser unit. Lift the fuser unit using the handles front and rear sides. (be careful it is very hot). Set the fuser unit on a table or counter or desk. Look carefully at the left side, as it sits in the machine, near the middle. You should see a actuator for a sensor. Make sure both ends of the arm are in the holes where they shoud be. If it is out of place, put it back into place and carefully place the fuser unit back in the machine. Secure the fuser back in the left door and close the door.
