Heat roller abnormally low temperature

Check blinking of the heater lamp
with SIM 5-2.
When the lamp blinks normally:
Check the thermistor and the
Check the MCU PWB thermistor
input circuit.
When the lamp does not light:
Check for heater lamp
disconnection or thermostat
Check the interlock switch.
Check the power supply PWB
and MCU PWB lamp control
Clear the trouble with SIM 14.

Type in "p" "*" "C" " *" (that is p button, star button, p button, star button.) the machine will go into sim mode enter 14 then press execute which appears on the lcd and the yes to confirm, then press CA and the machine should turn off then back on again

Do the black lines only show up when useing the adf???? Or do they show up on both the adf and the copyboard glass??? If it is only when using the adf...... The fix is easy.... you have to clean the smaller piece of glass that is to the left of the copyboard glass with windex or rubbing alchola. If it is with both you may need a new drum and blade or a new ufr... Good Luck

Without the sub code hard to say, but check the thermistor in the fusing section. F2 also refers to toner empty and some other issues.

H4-00 relates to the fusing unit not reaching the desired temperature. This could be due to a heat lamp or thermistor failure. I would recommend calling your local service engineer. hope this helps.

F2 00 Content Toner control sensor open/sensor
Detail Toner control sensor output open
Cause Connector harness trouble
Connector disconnection
Sensor trouble
Check and
Check connection of the toner control
Check connection of connector and
harness to the main PWB.
Check for disconnection of harness.
Replace the sensor.

This is right from the service manual...one thing you can try.

1)copier must be up to ready state.
2)press #,*,clear,*(that will enter you into a simulation mode)
3)press 14, execute,yes.
4)or 14, print button.
5)press CA (clear all) button.

that should reset it to a working state without causing any damage to the copier.

Model AR-M257 - I have several Sharp MFP devices at different locations and all are set up to scan through our email server using a special account I have just for this purpose. I have all of them setup using the external IP address of our Exchange server (not its name or FQDN) and I have firewall rules setup to allow SMTP from the WAN IP addresses of our different offices to the LAN IP address of the Exchange server. It worked at all the others but this one. I was getting the following error when trying to send a status message (under Log) from the device to my email account as a test: [error 973] incorrect format for primary smtp server. And when I tried to scan through our email server I would get "network error". However, a connection test succeeded. I had everything set correctly for SMTP and DNS but as I was trying anything I could to get it working I went to mDNS under Services and it was enabled. I disabled it and then I could get a status message to be sent to me and we could send a scan through our email server.
