Service 1 update required
It depends what exactly the message is saying. If it is telling you to download a service pack 1/2 driver then just google it and see what you find. However if it is trying top get you to use the device on a a mahcine running windows sp2 then you must buy windows sp2 if you cannot find any compatable drivers for windows sp1.
My mp 6gb
USB cord is most likely faulty. Go to the place that you bought it from and ask them to check it or replace it.
If you are using Apple Mac or MS Windows, then download and use Windows Media Player 11. Would be the simplist option. Otherwise find where itunes has ripped ur CDs to and copy/paste the folders to your MP3 player. [removeable disk #]
Phillips go gear
Hmmm... How long have you had it for. If it is still under warranty I would just take it back tot he plce you bought it from for a replacement as that is far from normal. Or perhaps what has happend is the firmware is damages and needs to be updates. If your device came with a cd driver install its contents and see if there is anh option that says 'update firmware' if its not on the Cd i would suggest googling it. See what you can find. If it is not recognised by the PC after installing the firmware or you were unable because it read cannot find device. Try replacing the device cable. if this does not work go into the setytings of the deivce and try resetting it to factory defaults ans see if this assits you.
Philip go gear 2 gig
If your computer does not reconginise the deivce then try changing the USB setting on the device if applicable. Alternatively try inserting the deivce into different USB ports and make sure other USB devices are being picked up. If they are and yours isnt and chanign the USB setting does not work google the model number with 'drivers' after it and you should be able to find a set of drivers for your device availible for download.

Theres a little switch either on the bottom or along the side you need to slide. It's so you don't accidentally turn your unit on when its not in use.

Itunes has a free download every week. Other than that, try googling free MP3. Also, sometimes bands will put songs on their website you can download. There are programs you can get to download "free" music, but most are ILLEGAL.
Philips System 500 Hi-Q dictation machine squeaks on record.
If your new tapes squeak while recording, there could be misalignment in the record path or it could be worn. Curious that no tapes were supplied with the machine. Perhaps you can take the machine to the vendor to demonstrate operation with squeaking.
Need circuit diagram for philips

How to connect with mobile PHILIPS MODEL NO DSP 3300
This music system is a basic setup so your choices are limited. You could try using a cable connection. The type you need is a "phono jack plug" to "3.5mm jack plug" cable. They are usually very cheap and most TV and Technology Stores will keep them in stock. The cable has different styles of connector at each end. One end is the same as the round red and white plugs at the top of the photograph and the other end is a standard headphones connector. Plug the red and white pair into an 'Audio In' position on the back of the system and the other end into the headphone hole on your mobile phone. (Try the position above the two already in the system). Select the channel on the system for that connector and press play on your mobile device.>
