Mp3 player wont play music, says file not formated
The file not formatted message is not an error that a repair will fix.
The songs that you have loaded onto the player are in a format that the player does not support. Do yourself a favor, and only download files that rae in mp3 format - they will never give you problems, error messages, require long explanations, etc.

System erro
The "File System Error" message is bad - it means that, rather than deleting just music files, you have accidentally deleted a key system file required for the Go Gear to operate properly. If you are still under warranty, call Philips and get a replacement GoGear, because they do not provide replacement files.

Got no power , even when i plug in to computer. Not damaged
Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged. If not:
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:
Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.
After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Can't down load music from itunes to my mp3 player
This is an "Mp3-CD player," which is not the same as an "Mp3 player." This device will only play mp3 songs that are recorded onto a CD in audio format. It will not take songs from iTunes, etc. By the way, iTunes songs are AAC format, rather than Mp3 format, so you can't just burn iTunes songs onto a CD and expect it to work with this player either. Sorry.

My phillips Sa411x won't read on my computer
Phillips gogear 2gb
Some items require it's own battery power to be read by a computer. Try to replace the battery.
Unintentionally, I hit a button I guess, and my menu comes up
That looks like a part # rather than a model #
here is a link where you can select your player or enter the model # and get the manual download in PDF Format.

I have a philips MP3
You may not have the same computer applications as I do, but I just open Windows Media Player and then plug the mp3 player in with the usb cord and click on the "sync" tab and there's a window that appears on the left where you can drag the songs you want then click "start sync" at the bottom of the window and wait...
Phillips mp3 player
I recently answerd a similar question. Just try googling the mp3 players model number and brandname followed by 'utilities' or' drivers.
How do I delete songs
I read this on a nother site and it worked. Right click your start menu, then EXPLORE. you will then see a list with your MP3 player name. click on it and the list of songs will appear. you can then right click and delete. hope it works for you.
