Hi. Its easy to clean the air filter. On the top back side. The rear trim cover pulls away easily snd exposes the reusable filter. Gently wash clean, dry and reinstall. If the condenser gets clogged or the unit looses its charge. It may be easier to have the unit serviced by a professional. Good Luck.

There is no sure fire easy method for cleaning the units. They are not easy to disassemble or clean. The evaporator can gather dirt and debris and they accumulate in the drain pan.

you can but be very careful. my neighbor did that and drilled in to one of the refrigerant lines and lost all of the freon. i fixed it for him but lesson learned "be sure you know where you are drilling". or you might be able to flush it out with a water hose if you have access to it

It could be two things. A motor is going out or you are smelling the heater to get rid of the condensate.

probably the thermostat or controls are locked in the on position.
