I wouldn't worry that you won't get it running without a Recovery Disk.Just wanted to state that right off the bat.You can buy a fresh, new Genuine copy of Windows XP, and use it.Jus sayin'.[Microsoft makes one Master disk. From it all GENUINE copies are made, and sold to the consumer]Don't know that much about Fujitsu Support, as to obtaining the Restoration Disk, for THAT computer.Guess there's only one way to find out, huh? That apparently would be to choose THE country you are in, as support is country specific.Looking at this from a USA perspective,
http://www.fujitsu.com/us/contact/Call 1-888-385-4878Have to try that tomorrow. It's presently 9:52PM, lol!No wait! Hold the phone.............Just called 1-888-385-4878It's a 24 hour line.Just talked to the representative on the phone.I didn't have the Serial Number, naturally; but did get basic information. The Serial Number is needed for specific information.[NOTE* Do NOT give out the Serial Number on a worldwide forum.ONLY give to an authorized Fujitsu representative ]From what I understand it does depend on the disk you need, and the type of computer..IF, I understand correctly, the disk (DVD) is $12, plus the shipping and handling.Sounded like the maximum cost is $28. (USD)Indicated a 2 to 3 day ship, and sent by Fed Ex.Best method of course is to just call them yourself. If I may, would appreciate hearing about how it was, for you to obtain the disk. Will increase my knowledge.[A LOT cheaper than a fresh, new Genuine copy of Windows XP, too! Lol! ]For additional questions please post in a Comment.Regards, joecoolvette
