Most PC backup batteries are a model cr2025. When you take the side off and locate the battery its stamped on the back and held in with a spring clip. If you pop the battery while the main power cable is in it will keep the bios settings. If not, you will clear the bios...so if the bios is customized especially to boot a certain way it may not boot after the battery has been changed.

I wouldn't worry that you won't get it running without a Recovery Disk.
Just wanted to state that right off the bat.

You can buy a fresh, new Genuine copy of Windows XP, and use it.

Jus sayin'.

[Microsoft makes one Master disk. From it all GENUINE copies are made, and sold to the consumer]

Don't know that much about Fujitsu Support, as to obtaining the Restoration Disk, for THAT computer.
Guess there's only one way to find out, huh?

That apparently would be to choose THE country you are in, as support is country specific.
Looking at this from a USA perspective,

Call 1-888-385-4878

Have to try that tomorrow. It's presently 9:52PM, lol!

No wait! Hold the phone.............

Just called 1-888-385-4878
It's a 24 hour line.
Just talked to the representative on the phone.

I didn't have the Serial Number, naturally; but did get basic information.
The Serial Number is needed for specific information.

[NOTE* Do NOT give out the Serial Number on a worldwide forum.
ONLY give to an authorized Fujitsu representative ]

From what I understand it does depend on the disk you need, and the type of computer..
IF, I understand correctly, the disk (DVD) is $12, plus the shipping and handling.
Sounded like the maximum cost is $28. (USD)

Indicated a 2 to 3 day ship, and sent by Fed Ex.

Best method of course is to just call them yourself.

If I may, would appreciate hearing about how it was, for you to obtain the disk.
Will increase my knowledge.

[A LOT cheaper than a fresh, new Genuine copy of Windows XP, too!
Lol! ]

If you don't have a motherboard disk you will have to download the drivers http://download.cnet.com/2000-20_4.html on the home page you should see a search tab just type in what you are looking for tick in either box for windows software or all software IE: motherboard name audio driver you might have to try a few times to get it right If his does not fix the problem Click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker

Try eBay or any computer store. CD's are standard and universal. Just make sure you get one that has the same interface (IDE or SATA) as you have.

Fujitsu Siemens... | Answered on Apr 09, 2012

It might be difficult to find, but purchase an IDE type drive. Your system does not have data ports that can handle the newer SATA drives.
Ask that the store test the drive, if possible, as it could have been a customer return!

Plug your modem up to your phone line & plug in the power cord. If you are using an ethernet cable its should plug into the modem and into your computer. If you are connecting wirelessly, make sure you card has a wireless network card or that you have a wireless adapter. If it still doesn't work you may have to call you internet provider to make sure the modem settings correct.

Those are beep codes. Going to need to figure out what kind of motherboard it is, and look it up here: http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

The sound of hardware failure is too happy, imo.
