Phillips Go Gear 6GB
The Phillips website has a solution for this:
Go to the FAQ for this mp3 player. It'll tell you to install the
Device Manger which will repair the problem. I've done this,
however, the Device Manager claims my mp3 Player is not
connected.
Try this yourself, you might have better luck.
MY Philips HDD1630 MP3 MEMORY APPEARS FULL WHEN THERE ARE NO FILES ON IT
Go to my computer open the Philips icon till you get to the music file delete it. Unplug the player from the usb cable and then reattach it. It will then show a new music file and 5.7 space available. All of your music will be gone.........but it was gone anyway. Ideally you should go to Philips and download the HDD1630/17b software and firmware and print off the instructions and redo your player. I did and it works great!!!!!
I need to download driver
Try installing the Microsoft Windows Media Player 10. This may resolve the problem. Get back here if this did not work.

If you are running Windows Vista, the software and device will not work - period. When you say it does not load, is it giving you an error message or what? Did you click on the EXE file?
Phillips 6gig mp 3 player problem
Depends. If your computer is running either Windows Vista or Windows Media Player 11, that player is history. If the reset worked, then you can update the firmware by using the Update function in the Philips Device Manager. The Philips Device Manager can be found at
