you mean to say microphone and ear piece is not working also? if yes u need to clean the audio jacks connection in your device inside the hole or go to service center for replacing the audio jacks

i had this problem before ..I downloaded a new ROM ..(new windows mobile) it doesn't matter which virsion 5 or 6
and I got it fixed this way

the battery isn't charged! or the charger you are using isn't compatible with your PPC.. did u try turn it on while it's plugged to the charger?

Sometimes these devices get hot.So try switching it off and remove the battery as well as the sime and wait than for a while.Do than a hard reset.I must warn to first back up important information from the device as once you do a hard reset.The device will be restored to the orginal factory settings and all data will be lost.Try this and see.I had a problem with the device ringing very shortly like about three to four rings and than it just it would just cut off.People would complain about me not answering the phone.But it was not me but the device not giving me enough time to answer.So I did a hard reset and it is working fine ....for now.I'll see what happeneds.So try this and see if this is a problem with all your calls than have the software checked out.

has active sync software is installed in ur pc.. because it detects the windows devices plugged into ur pc..

may be while urgradin you would have changed any important file

well i jus have experienced the same problem and u might have the same as mine
i can tell u wot i thought happened and it was true for me
ur battery brightness goes to 0. thats what hapend to me and i jus got it back with alot of difficulty u need hawk eye for that but go to setting back light and there u can change it right away
i hope u have this problem and nothing serious

may be there is some dust in mic hole just clean then check or go to near service center for replacing ur mic

Just try to format your device make hard reset

if you have tools to open the jasjar just refixed the coxial cable from back or try to format

need to replace the coaxial cable or Update this handset recommended to go service center of i-mate for fixing because is hardware issue or check the site www.clubimate.com

It sounds like your ROM image is corrupted somehow, reprogram the rom image. You can download an Win Mobile 5 image from www.clubimate.com or try www.xda-developers.com for cooked roms. Read the installation instructions carefully and you shouldn't have any problems.
