My mp3 doesn't work
A few options, one is that you deleted system files when deleting mp3's and now its inoperable. Sorry, can't really help you on that one.
another option is that you're just not using the sony software to put songs in the player. song will transfer, but the player won't know what to do with it.
I heard that apart from the sonic stage software, there's another simpler one (minus some BS) than the sonic, on the sony site.
Good luck

Hold on and off is not working
Hi,
Hold switch operates by sliding its cover little bit and if you slide cover all the way, usb port will pop out.
Slide cover few times that might fix stuck hold switch inside.
Hop this info will help you.
Thanks

Wont turn on
Look in the area of the USB plug, in there is a small hole that a paper clip will fit into. This is a rest button, try and rest the player, it will not loose any music, but it will cause a first boot.

My walkman bean player shows a message CANNOT PLAY
if it happens with one single song it's because the file type is not formatted, you'll need to convert it (try mp3 :)
if it happens with all of your songs first try checking their type
if it's okay, try formatting your walkman and putting new songs
