If your system has a backup / restore card you can manually restore the system from ext 10 or 11. If not, you will have to re-enter everything.
How to reset password on an avaya phone?
With Partner Mail you do not have to re-initialize the mailbox to reset the password. There is an option just to reset the password. If you re-initialize the mailbox you will delete existing messages and greeting.
What to do if Backup Failed: Insert Card?
Shut down the system. Remove the Backup/Restore card. Make sure the slot and card are debris free. Re-insert card and re-start system. If Backup fails again, then the card or slot has failed. A quick test is to shut down the system move the Backup card to the other slot and re-start. If Backup works, then bad slot. Otherwise looking at a replacement Backup/Restore card.
We have multiple lines but incoming calls do not roll over.
First check with your local telephone provider. See if you have rollover or hunting programmed on your lines. Different companies call the service different names. You need this service from the Telco provider the system will not do this.
How do I turn the ringer off at my phone for external incoming calls?
Go into the extension programming and change the line settings to no ring. It is best done if you have a display phone so you can see the changes. If not, then you will need to look at the flashing line lights when you enter the programming mode.
Press Feature 00. This will take you into the programming mode. You should see the line buttons lit up green. They will be Solid (Immediate Ring) or Slow Flash (Delayed Ring) or Fast Flash (No Ring). I assume yours is solid so push each line button until it changes to a fast flash. Once done press Feature 00 to exit the system and save the settings.
