My Uniden Dect 6.0 telephone system is going straight to answer bank and not ringing. I am unable to find the manual and would appreciate your help with this problem. Thankyou

Uniden phones have one of two options to keep the handsets from ringing. These can be toggled on and off with the phone system in standby. Most likely, you have toggled the "Do Not Disturb" mode on your Uniden DECT phone. This mode will ensure that none of the handsets ring on the cordless phone. On models with an answering system, it is automatically turned on when this mode is in use. It will pick up after the preset number of rings. If you hadn't set the number of rings, Disabling the DND depends on the phone model. On some, to disable the DND mode, press and hold the # key (below 9) for 3+ seconds. When you toggle the mode on, you can tell the system how long to silence the rings (1-9 hours or always on). If you do not press a digit, the always on option will be selected. If you press DND again, the mode starts. Otherwise, it becomes active after 5 seconds. A few models have the DND button on the base. Again press and hold that button to deactivate the Do Not Disturb feature. On other Uniden cordless phones, you can only silence one handset at a time. This silent mode is toggled on and off by holding the appropriate key. (This is usually the # or 9 key and will have a second symbol on the key.) I will assume that you do not have a muted ringer on the phone handsets. If the mute is enabled, just press Volume + when the phone is not in use. I hope this helps. If you need more specific directions, please add a comment with the phone model number. With that information, I may be able to find the manual as a PDF. One useful source of Uniden DECT phone manuals is https://www.uniden.com.au/uniden-search/ . Manuals Lib ( manualslib.com ) or Google are also good places to search for manuals. Cindy Wells

My Uniden Dect 6.0 are suddenly displaying "Check TEL Line" and there is no line tone. This happened after trying to install a new wireless printer. What should i do? Thank you!

first thing - don't do what I did - I pulled out somehow my printer /scanner network ethernet cable when putting in a network switch ! So Check the power cord for the DECT 6.0 base unit has not come out when you were installing the wireless printer . and also Check the tel line cord is plugged into wall and base unit. Check frequency used by cordless is not 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz as it might interfere with Wireless printer radio frequency.

I have an uniden exa 2980 and losy manual, how do I obtain a copy.also how do I turn up ring volumn?

Uniden has the manual for the EXAI2980 here: https://www.uniden.com/File%20Library/FooterNav/Product%20Information/Owners%20Manuals/exai2980om.pdf . Do you need to adjust the ringer volume of the base, the handsets or both? To set the ringer volume of the base, start with the phone in standby mode (no calls being made or received) then press Menu 4 times (the right-hand button in the row above the volume up/down buttons). You should hear the current ring volume and see it displayed on the LCD screen. Press Set (the left-hand button in the row above the volume buttons). Press Skip/FF or Repeat/RR (the buttons on either side of the Play button below the LCD screen) until the desired ring volume level is displayed. Press Set to save the setting. Press Play/Stop to exit the menu system. See page 38 of the manual (page 40 of the PDF above) for the directions. To adjust the handset ringer volume, press the handset volume up or down buttons with the phone in standby. The last chosen ringer tone and volume will be saved. See page 16 (page 18 of the PDF). Sometimes, the handset will not ring after losing the security code that pairs it to the base. Remove the handset from the base. Press and hold Page on the base (between Set and Menu). While the handset is sounding the paging tone, replace the handset in the base. Leave the handset in the base until the flashing stops (more than 5 seconds). See page 47 of the manual. I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Problem with panasonic cordless phone and att u-verse phone line

If you are using a DSL modem to access the internet you have to install a filter on the line to keep the noise from modem out of the phone. If you don't have one, your phone company usually provides them for free.

Just spilled several drops of water on screen of Uniden 6.0. The phone works but the screen is not printing for me to see calls, etc.. Is there something I can do.

try putting it in a container with dry rice to remove the moisture inside the device. OR try using the drying packets you get in pill containers (sodium dioxide I think from memory)
