sure you can , you can and wifi to any PC so long as not running XP or VISTA. new wifi card do not support XP. this is a relic PC, from long ago. posting and not telling the helper what OS you run is just a waste of time or worse we must answer for 5 different OS more more. old old has no express slots. 15 years old today HP Pavilion a400n XP loaded , relic. if still XP where would you get a wifi PCI non express card in year 2019, IDK, good luck there, but you can in fact add a USB wifi dongle. but would have to be very old say 2004 to 2010 made or will not support XP new USB dongles for WIFI do not support XP, Okay? posting with no OS stated, is just a ****** waste of time. and is a endless problem here., this PC is end of life trash it and get a PC 2010 or newer. and win. with w7 or newer on it. (coa sticker on case is the clue) spend $40 go whole hog. nice how lifehacker seems to not know what XP is.,? nor what PCI over PCI-express is. sad. no?

Your computer takes a max of 1GB RAM and the minimum required for Windows 7 is 2 GB. This PC is not fit for Win 7. Sorry.

The DVD-ROM drive is the same thing as the CD drive or optical drive, generally. It is near the top of the tower.

Download refers to getting something off the internet - if you have a DVD, you are trying to install it.

You need either a dynamic microphone (low impedance) or you could go with one of the USB types... but check operating system compatibility for the USB ones.

You will need to replace the power supply unit in your desktop. These can go out due to dust, power surges or other faulty hardware.

Go to manufacturers website and look up replacement part. Go to ebay and run a search for power supply. You will pay 75% less than purchasing from OEM by getting from eBay.

Once you get the power supply in, unplug the computer, open the case and make sure you are grounded. Get a pen and paper and make note of where the power supply ends lead to (this will make the installation of the new power supply less complicated). Double check everything before plugging in.

The power supply can be replaced, make sure the wattage is equal or greater than the one you have taken out.
Here's how to replace the parts. Open with Adobe or the like and Print. I'd recommend you get someone to do this if you do not know how to. Anything done wrong can mean a unusable computer.
As for the RAM, you can easily replace it with two 1Gb DDR SDRAM. 2Gb's is the maximum.
Make sure it's NOT DDR 2 or DDR 3.
Also, make sure the chips are the same size. If you install it with a 256Mb and a 1Gb, then it could effect performance. In some cases, the newer computers run fine.
You will not need to reinstall windows for replacing the parts.

The reason why the button is flashing is cause the power supply is not putting out the right voltages and the motherboard can't power on.

Best thing to do is to see if you can try a different known good power supply and hook up the connectors to the motherboard only and see if it turns.

This usually takes care of the problem. I have also seen it where the motheboard is bad on rare occasion. To verify the motherboard after trying a different power supply is to make sure there is no cards in the pci slot and makes sure none of the drives are connected and the only cables that should be connected to the motherboard is the power supply.

Sure but you shouldn't need to tell the computer what type of monitor it is, windows should simply send the signal to the monitor and poof up comes your display, more advanced versions may auto-detect or youc an select it in the control panel under display. Try craigslist to pick up a cheap monitor in your area. I got a 15'' flat for 20 bucks.

May be too basic, but first : 1. Check whether you have installed speakers in the Speaker Out socket 2. Speakers are powered on properly, try on another system for confirmation if possible. 3. When you go to print, go to properties for the printer you would like to print. Once there find the tab that says color and make sure gray scale is checked off. It could depend though where that setting is at by printer. Please provide what printer you have. Just the brand no product number or anything only if what i gave at first does not help.

delete and reinstall your email software.

It depends what program you used to add it in the first place. Open the software and look for settings, or just uninstall it.
