The power supply can be replaced, make sure the wattage is equal or greater than the one you have taken out.

ere's how to replace the parts. Open with Adobe or the like and Print. I'd recommend you get someone to do this if you do not know how to. Anything done wrong can mean a unusable computer.
As for the RAM, you can easily replace it with two 1Gb DDR SDRAM. 2Gb's is the maximum.
Make sure it's NOT DDR 2 or DDR 3.
Also, make sure the chips are the same size. If you install it with a 256Mb and a 1Gb, then it could effect performance. In some cases, the newer computers run fine.
You will not need to reinstall windows for replacing the parts.
