I have an older panasonic cordless phone that works fine other than the number 2 on the keypad does not work, due to wear i'm sure....anytging i can do to get it to work again....thanks

SOMETIMES, disassemble and cleaning the keypad will fix that but it doesn't seem to last. time for new phone.

After listening to new voice mail and selecting 3 to delete those voice mails, the "new voice mail" msg does not disappear from the screen

Hold the "clear" or "mute" button until the handset beeps. This will clear the New Voice Mail allert.

This is not cost effective repair, the main processor ic that directs the LCD is malfunctioning and you need to replace the whole system.

If this is a landline (not a mobile phone), you need to subscribe to your provider's Caller ID service to get the details to show on your phone. You can't just buy a phone with caller display and have it working out of the box, sorry.

This is how it works in the UK anyway, I don't know about other countries.

Hi,

When you have a cordless phone most of them are always repair by an expert on cordless phone cause cordless phones are complicated especial with there networks.

But the good thing is that it can be fixed, but it has to be by an experience technician to do that o prevent further damages.

You can take it to the service center of the network you are using for repairs and it will be fixed properly.

Handset ringer tone and volume
Press the volume up key or volume down key (labeled as
vol or vol) in standby mode to select one of five
ringer tones and volume combinations.

You can get the manual on link below page 19 will tell you how to set ringer volume.

Panasonic cordless phones no dial tone but landline connected directly to modem is working. When I tried plugging the cordless into the modem directly it still doesn't work It states "check tel line"

Do the KX-TG68xx series phones really have Power Back-Up Operation feature?

No, the KX-TG68XX phones do not work during a power failure. See page 12 of the user manual available on the product support page: https://www.panasonic.com/middleeast/en/support/product-archive/telephones-home-security/telephone/cordless/kx-tg6822.html . The current link to the manual is http://www.panasonic.ae/EN/Manuals/KX-TG6822.pdf . There are some cordless phones that allow the base to be powered by a handset. I've seen this with some AT&T cordless phone systems but do not remember any Panasonic models with all cordless handsets with the feature. A base with a corded handset will work without power for basic calls. Panasonic has a few models with the corded/cordless combination.
