If you put your remote in front of your phone camera and press a button you should see it light up on your phone screen, if it doesn't then it's the batteries, if it does, then it's something else, like you hit aux or something on the remote, or it needs to be reprogrammed. Reprogramming should only be needed if it is a different brand remote than the projector.

if it goes through shut down mode (lamp first and fans run a while), reset the settings to factory default. while you're in the menu, check the lamp hours (under settings). if they're close to 2000 hours, replace the lamp. if the projector shuts down immediately, fans and all, you have a power supply problem. you'll need to replace it.

Black spots are more likely to indicate a partial failure of the DLP chip. The lamp cannot produce such a symptom sadly. Repair will be quite expensive...

Check the ballast board. It is the one that has the wires going directly to the bulb socket.

Instead of deleting them from your gp10, try moving them off the gp10 to your MacBook. Then delete them from the MacBook.
