HP Pavilion a1410n Disk Boot failure

After pressing F1 confirm that the master drive is listed in the boot setup program.. If the drive is not listed confirm that the electrical connection from the new power supply is correctly connected to the drive. Failing to correctly connect the hard drive during power supply replacements is most likely the problem. Also confirm the SATA connections to the drive. Confirm that the drive gets warm and a slight vibration when power is first turned on confirming the disc drive is spinning. Hope this helps? backupsourceee-t0vwfcdnxxkr5mkphhbyx0tu-1-0.jpg These are typical screen shots that show the boot drive connected to the mother board MOBO detected during the initial boot process. Look for similar format in your machines boot setup. bios-t0vwfcdnxxkr5mkphhbyx0tu-1-4.jpg

Hi, I have an HP a1410n

wrong memory!! for sure ! for get the fan, its just protecting system with dead BIOS dead ram ,kills everything but the power chip (brain) getting the correct memory is NON TRIVIAL! the correct memory must match what the processor needs. if and intel process , it has a memory controller, MMC that has very strict rules on memory "topology" and max. in some cases , if you buy the memory off of the site called Kingston you will get the correct memory.! (direct) may sites that sell memory (non pro) have a ton of lies there. they are ignorant of facts. watch out for scalpers. The memories called out by HP are not sold now. so we use the Intel rules, (only) to pick the correct DRAM . even one year,older processor may need older style memory. Your PC has a full name, not shown by you. the suffix letters, in said pn tell what the PC came with. including all processors used, (vast) intel and AMD. here is 1 example.(its not yours, its just a random tag) see that 1250us there, its very important that. tag1-wlpfiktypqb3dki104wsq4vq-3-0.jpg here is what must match: pin count on DMM sticks 184 , bingo easy, peasy. voltage. some run dual voltage others do not. (no PC stated so..) the Best memory is low voltage but work so both,1.35 and 1.5v. (a tad slower on 1.5v) <<< sorry that is tricky too... number of DRAM per Stick the chips, many be limited to max size per chip, (called density) and number DRAM per of side. some are 1side other 2 side. and DRAM internal topology (no PC stated or exact processor so..) speed must be equal or better best is a matching pair, the process or has max memory size per socket too.... here is my i5 end the end, the RAM must make the processor memory manager happy,, must so why not post your device tag so we can stop guessing rule 1: if BIOS cant see your sticks correctly and size all is LOST. did you look there, no, BIOS is dead. Best , is to let Kingston fit you out,and not worry topology. here is the Intel page. example , not YOURS. shows how fussy the i5 is. early k7's same fussy but different g1-520m-memvolts-wlpfiktypqb3dki104wsq4vq-3-1.jpg some processors are 1.3v only others 1.5v and some are dual. you cant guess this, you just look it up, for your unstated processor on old system buying new memory you find the chip density TODAY way larger, and the old processor can not run those either... I looked at your PC, some are AMD and some are with nforce chip sets. the service tag tells us (whats in that case and mother board) and guess what, both those , have there own rules on memory my last question is why spend hard money on this old dog why not retire it. why not get a newer system. ? even a DT, box e-machine. like here https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=deck%20top%20computers%20on%20sale the HP A1400 series is no longer supported by HP why not find a newer DT and invest in it? not try to keep this old slow PC working,,, http://support.hp.com/us-en/retired-products http://support.hp.com/doc-images/348/c03330616.jpg

Xp booting loop bios

Seems to be a bad driver or damaged boot. If the computer shuts down and restarts check CPU fan and blow dust out from heat sink, CPU may be overheating. Otherwise, use the recovery disk to repair, or the installation CD and do the system repair. Or from repair disk, if your computer worked fine before, Restore To a Previous setting.

Shut down hp pavillion desk top

This is an XP machine, which is no longer supported. I recommend backing up your personal data asap, and plan on moving to a newer machine and Operating Sysytem. If the machine won't boot, and you have important files on it, you could purchase a USB Hard Drive Adaptor, pull out the hard drive, and copy any important files to another machine. Good luck.

Trick to show your name in taskbar

Here is a trick to add your name in place of AM and PM beside time in the taskbar.
It's simple
Goto Start -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language option -> Customize (beside English US) -> Go to TIME tab -> Change AM symbol and PM symbol from AM and PM to your name -> Apply -> Ok ...IS it changed ??? May be not ...
Now go to time in taskbar and Double Click it to open "Date and time property" ...
Look at the place where time changes in digital format i.e. 02:47:52 AM , click to arrow to chage the AM or PM by selecting and press arrow.
Apply -> OK.
It will Show your name!!

Cant flash bios a1410n

Try simple first. When booting, AND BEFORE the XP logo, press f8 repeatedly until you see the boot options menu. If you miss it, you will see the xp loading logo, if so, restart and try again. From the boot menu, try the "boot with last known good configuration" option. If that doesn't fix it, re-boot, f8, and try the "safe mode" option. If it boots with any of these methods, do a full shut down and re-start again normally.If that doesn't get it to boot normally, I would do the following. (I would, but you should only try this if you have a good understanding of windows and needed programs installing, ram replacement, hard drive repair/replacement and internal computer wiring)Now, if your computer worked fine, then suddenly started this loop, I dont think it a bios problem. I expect you might have a hardware problem. Did you change any hardware very recently? Sometimes that stops windows from loading. Or, you could try changing the ram and retry, could be bad ram. But I think it is a hard drive issue. I think you will have to reload windows and/or replace the hard drive.To safeguard your info, you should replace the main hard drive with another drive, load windows fully on it, then add the original drive back in as a slave/secondary drive, and retreive your personal info and files from it. Your needed programs will have to be re-installed on the newer windows drive. When you get all your files copied over (use copy and paste, not cut and paste), you can format the old drive and use it as storage, or just format and keep for the next time, or sell it. I would also run a "drive fitness program" to test it for bad sectors.Or, if you dont need anything from your windows, you could format and install from the xp install cd. If it loads and runs, the drive is probably ok (I would still test it for bad sectors), or, if it cant load because of errors, the drive is probably bad. Retry with a new drive.
