Did you install the driver ? Make sure it's the 64bit version btw.

Hi!
Try to look for a ruler or something that will make you press the cartridge cover fully. It may be loose or not snap in properly thats why the cartridge holder won't go all the way.

Reset the printer by pressing and holding the power button from 5-8 seconds until it shuts down. Turn it back on and it should work.

Hi Good day!! This error means that some mechanical parts of your printer is in trouble. This could be some of the causes:

1. The print head is stuck somewhere or is unable to move because of some blockage in the printer's bay.
2. If you are using a Continuous Ink System, then the tubes might have blocked the print heads from moving.

To resolve, turn OFF your printer. Remove such blockage then turn the printer back ON.

Your Printer's Status Monitor tells you when the ink in your ink cartridge is about to run out. However, the Status Monitor is not always accurate. If, you turn off the status monitor, the only sign that will tell you that your ink has run out is that if your printout has white streaks or lacks the other colors.

• Pressing and holding LOAD/EJECT and CLEANING buttons,
• press POWER button and hold it until You will see blinking INK OUT and PAPER OUT leds.
• Release all buttons.
• In 2-3 seconds time press and hold LOAD/EJECT button, until all leds will blink.

If you mean you would like to print in greyscale, and not colour, Right click on the printer icon / printing preferences / advanced / then tick the box that says greyscale in print options

if you light is flashing alternatively, this mean the waste ink counter need to be reset and the waste ink pad need to be replaced.

Have you tried taking out and reinserting the ink cartridges? Also if need be try reinstalling the drivers and go from there. Let me know how it goes and if you need further assistance.

.. is the light flashing alternate? if yes, then the printer porous pad need to be replaced and reset ink counter.. install your printer driver and status monitor and you should be able to find out whether it's the ink empty or maintenance needed. For this model.. I am sure your waste ink counter is full...

You just need to reset your printer and it wll print like brand new again. Goolge search for a resetting program for Epson 680. Good luck.

Actually all the driver of old unit is not available some is available you cant contact the manufacturer for more support.

chek th eprint mode is it colour and the catridge is not empty.

Thanks for using FixYa. There are two step-by-step procedures to resolve the issue—

Procedure 1

1. Turn off the printer and ensure that the print head is at its home location and locked in place as normal;
2. Power off the printer at the wall or by removing the power cable for at least 20 seconds;
3. While you restore power to the printer at the wall socket or by reinserting the cable, if the lights come back on straight away, the printer’s power switch was ‘on’ - switch it off and return to step 1;
4. Hold down the paper-feed button and the button with the ink-drops next to it, and then turn on the printer, still holding the buttons down;
5. When the paper-out LED flashes, release the buttons;
6. Press and hold the Cleaning button, until several lights flash - this will take a few seconds then release the button;
7. The printer will now attempt to reset, including resetting the EPROM memory and running a short (about 10 seconds) cleaning cycle.

Procedure 2

1. Turn off the printer and ensure that the print head is at it’s home location and locked in place as normal;
2. Hold down the paper feed button only;
3. Turn on the printer;
4. As the paper feed light starts flashing, release the button;
5. Immediately hold down the ink-drops button for some 10-20 seconds or until the printer springs into life;
6. Allow printer to complete its processing then turn it off for a few seconds and turn it again on.

By following the above any one of the step-by-step procedure, the printer will start printing normally.

Please check for the capping station after powering on do you find any ink in the cap station if no ink found in cap station its p head nozzles may by blocked and try to clean from printer panel switch

May try to put some water in cap station and check water should be there until its try cleaning option and after force cleaning it will drain out if it’s happen properly its most chances are for p head nozzles may be block

P head need to be replaced for same
