1 - Lift the receiver and get the dial tone.
2 - Hit 'Store'
3 - Enter the number you wish to store in the phone
4 - Hit the store button again
5 - Hit the memory button you wish to store the number into

Hello,

What this code indicate is an error meaning that the phone has been over power by power supply, what you are to do is to put off the phone for some time then allow the phone to relax it self then put on the phone again then disconnect the phone hard free from the phone speaker then fix it up again carefully.
With this the problem of 05 code will e solve.

Thank you and thanks for using fixya.

It is common to be able to tweak the POT on some lasers (such as an Xbox 360 or PS2) but for PS3s you can't, there is no way to adjust the POT.

It would need an entire new laser or Blu-ray drive.

I buy my parts at http://parts.consolerepairguy.com - the lasers are about $75 each and Bluray drives are about $100. (thos are Canadian prices, ships to the US though)

I run a repair business and that place has best prices aside from Hong Kong which I don't trust.

To Store a number in the upper memory:
1.Press STORE/IN button (the STORE/IN indicator light turns on).
2.Dial the number to be stored.
3.Press the STORE/IN button again (the STORE/IN indicator light blinks).
4.Press a Memory Location button to store the number.
5.Record whose phone number it is on the memory directory (located under the plastic cover on the front of the unit).
TIP: If you make a mistake while entering a number into memory, wait 15 seconds for the feature to turn off, or press STORE/IN twice.
