Since you are using the USB-to-serial converter, you need to select the serial interface in the printer driver installation.
  1. Uninstall the driver in Control Panel > Add or remove programs
  2. Restart the computer
  3. Install the printer driver again, this time select serial in the interface list
  4. Set the properties for the serial port to 9600 for the data rate
  5. Print a test page!

You can try downloading from this site which requests you provide your e-mail address or you might prefer to send a request for the driver directly to the manufacturer.

Click on Technical & Support along the top menu bar. This will bring up a submission form which you can use to submit a request to provide a driver for your printer.

If it is a USB printer then try replacing the USB cable. Otherwise also try changing the power cord.

If the cords are ok then try upgrading the printer driver. You can find it on the relevant company's website.

Hi, there is no need for ink for this printer. it's a thermal printer, you have to use thermal paper with it.

Go to Control Panel - Device Manager & find your Printer i.e. little arrow by the Imaging devices. Right click the T88 & click upgrade drivers, then clik the upper choice & it will go to Microsoft & find the correct driver for that unit & install it. (must be on line) That should solve your problem If not call Epson

UninstallSmart Panelvia Add/Remove Programs. Next download and install the DelReg patch from theNewsoft Inc.website. Smart Panel was manufactured for Epson by a third party company. As third party, licensed software patches and downloads are not on theEpson websitebut on Newsoft's own.

Patch for 1660 on Windows:

Run the patch, once complete restart the PC.

Next, reinstall Smart Panel from the CD-Rom. You may wish to update Smart Panel afterwards. Update Patches available below:
