try this. use rubbing alcohol on a lint free towel and wipe the head clean. This will not affect the head as it will dry fast. I had this happen before because the ink dry and harden if it still does not work than you might need to repeat this process a few times.

Use old cartridge and put isopropyl alcohol with a mixtue of 3 parts alcohol to 1 part water into cartritge with a syringe . Go thrugh cleaning cycle 4-5 times and let sit with newspaper under printer for any leaks. Run cleaning cycle several times until you get printer to run clear on sheet of paper. Reinstall cartridge with new ink. Lot of work but have done this and it will work. Make sure you clean out old cartridge with alcohol first over sink and fill each color chamber up with mixture before installing cleaning cartridge. Also eBay offers some of these cleaning cartridges.

That sounds like the main control board is faulty. Use Epson.Co.(your country) to find some local service agents, describe those symptoms to them and compare their answers.

Maybe there's a clogged on you print head, that's why no color came out...replace it a new one Take note do not allow you printer hang on for a couple of months or weeks, you need to print it every other day or it must be once a day because that causes of clogging on your print head

Bruno: You did not get all the pieces of that A4 paper out of the paper path. There is still a small shard of paper in the right side of the paper feed area. Use a flashlight to look carefully in the paper feed area and gently use tweezers to remove the piece of paper. If you pulled the sheet of A4 paper backwards out of the feed area, you may have dislodged the paper feed sensor (a small plastic finger that sticks down in the paper path to tell the printer that the paper has passed.) Be careful with the tweezers... if you break that sensor, there is no fixing it.

Check the ink levels (sorry, had to say). Runthrough clean print head cycle, Then chk printer settings for the settings you made or want.unchk thre spacer sheet box._good luck_Ned.

You may have a paper jam. A small piece of paper in the rollers will cause that. Open printer and look for any paper in between the rollers, pull it out.

I had the same problem with my R2400, it was the feeder mechanism and was fairly easy to sort (for me anyway). If you look in the paper feeder area there is a grey roundish wheel in the bottom right hand corner (looking from above and the front). It often gets dust and fluff etc in and around it and therefore fails to feed the paper through correctly. Try cleaning it with a rough-ish cloth (like a dry flannel etc) - this worked for me.Alternatively what can also work (as I discovered myself prior to solving the problem) was having a stack of paper in the machine. I.e having multiple sheets in the paper feeder also seemed to solve the problem.I still get the issue occasionally but it is far less prevelant.HTH :)

Hi,First step is to setup the printer with the cartridges. You should have received a software disk with the printer. Install the disk in CD/DVD drive and run the installer program. Connect the cable when prompted or later after the installation is complete.Regards,Sean

You can find a ulitity via software to reset it. The software allows you to reset the cis systems and the ink waste pads and thinkgs liek that. The manual reset is not something ive heard of for this model.

Pre-folded paper, also know as pre-scored paper, permits card stock or brochures to be folded with ease. Pre-folded paper contains creases on the surface of the paper, which lets the person printing identify what areas are safe for text, and where the folds should occur. Pre-folded paper is recommended for use with specific inkjet printer models such as those made by Canon and Hewlett Packard, as indicated on the package. Heavier card stock pre-scored paper prints best on laser printers.

Instructions:

1.Open the brochure or card document file in the program it was created in. Upon opening, set the printer's settings to fit the dimensions of the pre-folded paper that will be used. This can be found under the "File" option in the toolbar and then "Printer Settings" in the options list. Click on the "Page Setup" tab, and choose the paper type from the "Page Size" section in the window. Click "OK."

2.Place the pre-scored paper into the printer's paper feeder, with the exterior face of the paper facing in the printing direction. The exterior face of the paper has a dipped crease, while the interior face has a raised line. Place three to five sheets into the tray at one time to prevent paper jams, and adjust the tray guides to fit the paper.

3.Print the text on the exterior face of the pre-folded paper. Select "File" followed by "Print" from the toolbar. Enter the number of sheets that will be printed in the "Copies" box, or nudge the arrow to increase the copy amount. Click on the "Print" button to begin printing.

4.Flip the pre-scored card over, if the double printing feature is unavailable in the printer options, and print on the interior face of the paper. Re-insert the cards into the paper tray facing in the printing direction. Select "File," and then "Print" once again. Enter the number of copies being printed in the "Copies" box, and press "Print."

5.Fold the card on the indicated crease lines. This can be done by hand, without the the use of a bone folder, by using the pre-folded lines as a guide. A bone folder is a card crafting tool that permits score lines to be made and cards to be folded accurately after folding by hand.
