try to uninstall and reinstall the printer software

Lost electricity to head micropiezzo (micro pump). Usually caused by ink leakage that flow to small board at head carriage. Better take to epson service centre. If you wish to repair yourself, find similar solution on aicaxz solution.

- Try to power cycle the printer. Unplug the power cord at the back of the printer and press the power button of the printer for 15 seconds. Plug the power cord back in to the printer and turn on the printer. (If nothing happens)

- If you know how to use a tester, you can plug the power cord to the power source and use a tester to check if there's power flowing to the cord.

- If you don't have a tester you can try a working different printer power cord and test it to your printer and try to turn on the printer. (If that didn't work) that means that the printer power supply is busted or might as well the whole printer board. (If it worked) the power cord is the problem then.

- I don't know if there's a fuse on that printer but you can always go to any computer technician to have it checked.

Turn off printer, uninstall printer driver. Restart computer. Turn on printer, connect usb. When asked printer driver, insert disk, select English language for printer driver.

Need to go to the website of the company of your printer, and if your printer is only a couple of years old or newer the website will have the software "drivers" for you to download that your printer model's installation CD-ROM originally came with. This is necessary for your computer to recognize what kind of printer you're plugging in to it.

The printer's installation CD-ROM had the exact same drivers that you will be downloading so it will be like if you’re getting the installation CD-ROM again but only via the internet instead of having an actual CD-ROM so don't worry about it.

Some generations of people are terrified of using the internet for no other reason then FEAR of the unknown and that is not my problem. Just be brave.

Hi Compatible Cartridges are not always good to use they do block the heads of the printer some times I used them myself and had the same problems and in the end lost my printer not worth it, if the heads are blocked you need to try to clean them some how, there is cleaning fluid you can buy for this if your heads are blocked, or use worm water on a cloth by dabbing on the heads may clean them be careful not to much water on cloth.
But I would change the inks first buy the right ones for it.

The print head nozzle may be out of ink. Do an ink charge or 3 consecutive head cleaning! Good luck!

double check and make sure that the chips part of the ink is not covers and that the plastic cap is off too. Is the printer saying it has ink in it now or still saying it is empty?

I found a fix for my problem. I went to Epson.com and re-downloaded the driver package. I think I lost the drivers somehow when I downloaded the new Firefox 3.6 Beta 4. Now all is back to normal.

Go to lexmark website, choose Downloads and find driver for your exact printer model. Download and install.

Have you checked the ink levels? Because when the blue tank empties, you get the print to be pinkish..

Generally all the color catridge made up of 3 colors, Red, blue , green
If the blue color is very less, you get your prints to be in pink

You need to change the catridge..

if you are using your disk insert it and install the driver first. look for epson scan. then you connect your scanner to your computer to avoid any conflicts which should appear on the device manager

just simply go to printers and faxes,right click the icon of your printer then go to printing preferences then choose maintenance and click status monitor.
