How to remove ink from printer

Ink Cartridge Maintenance

Turn on your printer.
Lift the printer unit, and position the scanner support between the tabs to hold it open.

The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.

Press down on the ink cartridge lever to raise the ink cartridge lid.

Remove the old ink cartridge.

Dispose of the old cartridge properly.
If you are installing a new ink cartridge, remove the sticker and transparent tape from the back and bottom of the ink cartridge.

Insert the new ink cartridge.

Snap the lid closed.

Lift the printer unit, and hold the scanner support up while lowering the printer unit until it is completely closed.

Can this be used as a Stand alone Printer?

To print documents a printer need to be connected to a computer.
The Dell 810 is a laptop not a All-In-One printer.

When the paper goes it on the inside of the printer grabs both side which what feeds it through, if it is not tight enough will cause paper jams, open it back up and check the roller to see if it can be adjusted if it cant then you will need to buy a new one, this usualy happens when it has had too many paper jams forcing the gap to increase in size and not allow the collection of one but many, on single sheets of paper the gap wont be small enough to collect 1 sheet anymore.

Have you installed compatible[Windows 7 OS] printer drivers in your new PC?If not uninstall the already installed drivers and install new drivers from this Dell support site. Also make sure you properly connect the printer with the PC.

How to change printer cartridge Dell 810

Open the printer cover with it turned on and connected to your pc. When you open the cover, the printer should bring the ink cartridge carrier to the front and center so you can access cartridges easily. Press or pull the plastic tab next to the ink cartridge that you wish to replace and it will pop it up towards you and out of the carriage. if there is no plastic tab to eject the cartridge, grab a hold of it with your finger and pull upward and out towards you. Don't worry about breaking anything or harming the cartridge. Once you remove the old one, remove the plastic tape tab on the new cartridge before inserting. Then close the printer cover and it should walk you through aligning the print heads on the display. Good luck!

After I reinstalled my dell

Try to update the driver on the devicemanager
go to start > right click computer > properties > device manager > go to imaging device > right click the tab that appears usually its thedell click update the driver
incase nothing happens
- try to unplugged the USB restart the computer once your computer completely restarts plugged in again the USB
- or you may try to unplugged the USB first , right click dell tab > uninstall
restart your computer once it completely on plug in the USB ..
hope it help you may also try paint for scanning cLICK filE > from scanner or camera ..
Usually all printer has an appliaction for scanning
your last resort forthis one is uninstall the driver and install the driver from dell.com

I can't print in grayscale

The black ink cartridge is used to print in grey scale mode.

It is therefore not possible to print in grey scale using only colour ink cartridge.

How can I compress a scanned document so it isn't

The scanned image could be a TIF or BMP file, which can be quite large.

Download the FREE 'GIMP' (Graphical Image Manipulation Program), and install it.
Load the image. Crop it (to reduce size). Use 'Save As' to save as a GIF or JPG or PNG file,

Hallo Rose,

Probeer het formaat van scannen goed te zetten.
Het kan zijn dat de scanner groter of kleiner scant dan het papier.
Of scan het gewoon en verzend het als bijlage.
Derde optie is om de software te updaten.
