Fax board memory in operative. Replace the fax kit. Was it installed properly electrically. as in going into service mode and letting the machine know it has a board. have you attempted to update the firmware on the board.

Turn off sub power switch not the main! Then press 2 and 5 and turn on the sub power switch which puts you in MODE 25 select #5 Password setting. Then select #1 key operator setting. Default might be 9272.
