Look to see if the pressure switch contacts open close

check pressure switch

This could be a number of different things. you may just need a simple service call or something major could be happening. I would call a trained professional on oil furnaces, if you do not know how to properly trouble shoot it.

check fan is not loose

The Serial Number would really help in defining how old your Coleman furnace is. The model you have is used predominantly in manufactured housing. To find the Serial Number, you will need to remove the upper shroud of the furnace. There should be a sticker or plate on the back of that shroud of just inside the housing of the furnace, that will give you the Model # & Serial #. Armed with that, you can do a little detective work, as to it's age.

If the shaft from the motor is not securely connected to the fan, although it is turning, it may be slipping. Check that the set screws are tight between the motor shaft and the squirrel cage fan. Otherwise, it sounds like you have duct problem. A rodent may have chewed a hole in the duct, or the connection between the and the delivery duct, or the connection between the delivery duct and the floor or wall grate has become disconnect. (This last is common, a screw holding the duct to the floor grate has come loose or the duct tape has come loose from gravity pull down on the duct to grate connection. If you have a basement or crawl space you have have to inspect that the duct work has not come apart.

If you're using a 20lb propane tank (Gas Grill Tank), that may be the problem. Turn off the propane tank at the tank valve and disconnect it from the tank. Wait 5 minutes and reattach the heater hose to the tank. Turn the propane tank valve on very,very slowly until it's all the way open. Try lighting your heater now. If the pilot flame height returned to normal, that was the problem.

FYI - The Thermocouple has nothing to do with the length of the pilot flame. It's a safety feature that stops the gas if the pilot flame goes out for any reason.

many times the ratings will be on the compressor and fan motor themselves. check data plates, if available, for mfd ratings

does it have power?

That’s a model number for a mobile home furnace. The flame sensor is inside the burner chamber. You have to turn the gas off, remove the screws that hold the two plates around the gas valve, and pull the whole burner assembly out. Be careful of the igniter, and don’t use sand paper on the flame sensor ??
