REmove the drivers by deleting the printer. Perform routine maintenance with your computer with what ever programs you use ... I recommend CClean and Comodo Registry Cleaner - search both with your favorite search engine ... both are free. Defrag your computer's hard drive then try again.

Get the latest driver for your printer that is compatable with your OS from www.hp.colm/support

If there is a question inthe compatability department, you can check the MS compatability hardware listing ... search it to find the address.

uninstall the printer

remove the cartridges from the printer. Then clean the cartridges contacts.

1. Shutdown your computer.
2. Verify that the unit is switched on. Unplug the all-in-one from
power and disconnect the connection port.
3. Wait 30 seconds.
4. Plug in the power only.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 two more times.
6. On the third time after plugging the unit into power, reconnect
the connection port from the all-in-one to your computer.
7. Restart your computer and check the functionality.

If the issue persists :

press and hold the "#" and 6 buttons on
the front panel keypad while plugging in the power cord.

i lost the installation cd that came with the printer, i dont have the drivers. so i can't finish installation what can i do

Go to menu option and choose the option fax and set the parameter like auto receive or manual set the ring auto answer mode after certain ring. If it is in auto receiving mode it will receive the fax after the ring which you set. Make sure the phone wire which you insert in fax machine getting proper dial tone and getting out going calling facility.

is a ink cartrige problem , replace to new original spare.

try reinstalling OS if possible.
try other methods, like Add/Remove Programs... from control panel to remove old softwares.
If you are an expert try removing the same from your file system / registry...

Your paper loading and moving mechanism in the printer seems to have some jamming problem in movement or the sensors inside the left part of the machine may have dust or inturruption somewhere.

Service your printer your own if you can, or get it service from an expert....
