Press MENU and then 2.
Press < or > to set location then press 'check mark'.
Press 1 to confirm.
If this doesn't set the language, then you will have to do a NVRAM Init. Beware that all settings will be reset to factory default. So, make sure that you know how to enter the correct ones.

Turn off printer. Press and hold the * and 'check mark' while you turn on printer. Keep holding the buttons down until you see displayed "Permanent Storage Init" Release the buttons. Wait for it to ready.
Now when it is ready you can press < or > until the correct language appears. Then press "check mark" and press 1 to confirm.

After following these instructions, when you restart, unit should prompt you to select a language. Use the left right arrow keys to select proper langauge and press checkmark to accept.

It sounds like you need to re-load the printer software. Hope this helps.

The first thing to try is a different toner cartridge, they can sometimes jam up and cause issues. Failing that, it is likely either that the fuser itself has a bad bushing and is causing too much strain or that the swing gear that disengages the fuser when door is opened has worn and has too much play and does not engage. Unless you can find a doner machine for those gears this unit may or may not be worth repairing as new units are pretty inexpensive these days.

It looks that you can receive data (eg.scanned) from your MFC but cannot send information to it {eg. reference to 2-ways communications not working):
I suspect that it is a 'Firewall' problem or 'Antivirus' issue: review possible logs and try turning both Firewall and Antivirus to check if they are the problems.

The Adf of this model isn't replaceable. Hp clearly mentioned on several threads. Open this [click here] and read the "Note:.." written blue texts. If you wish to refer to the service manual, Click Here, but replacing the ADF isn't included for this model.

That's why they are called margins.
You can't print to the edge of the page. The printer physically can't.
Have you tried printing landscape? The other thing to do is set "scaling". That will cause the printer to shrink the page slightly to fit your paper size.

Just click right mouse on the scanned document and choose edit. It will go to paint application. Just type anything you want, then save it. Try to improvised from editing.

I checked the User Guide for these models; In the error section:

No paper pickup error. The all-in-one has failed to pick up a piece of media.

1. Verify that the media was inserted far enough into the input tray.

2. Reload the media in the input tray and press to continue the job.

3. If the error persists, contact HP Customer Care. See HP Customer Care or the support flyer that came in the all-in-one box.

Under print problems there is some additional information.

The all-in-one does not pull media from the media input tray.

1. The all-in-one might be in manual feed mode.

?? If Manual feed appears on the al lin-one control-panel display, press to print the job.

?? Verify that the all-in-one is not in manual feed mode and print your job again.

2. The pickup roller might be dirty or damaged.

The setting of 'manual mode' sees the most likely problem of the above. If the setting was not in manual mode, before investigating further you may wish to try a simple reset. Sometimes, restarting the product can clear a paper feed issue. Follow these steps to perform a reset.
Reset the printer

1. Press the Power button ( ) to turn on the product.

2. With the product turned on , disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.

3. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
4. Wait at least 15 seconds.

6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.

8. If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button ( ) to turn it on.

I'm running Windows7.
I click the start button.
I click All Programs
I look for and click Windows Fax and Scan
A window opens that is called Fax and Scan
I select new scan at the top. The PC connects with the scanner
Another window opens, and I select my printer scanner
And then I click Scan
This the easiest way that I have found to scan from my AIO

Press MENU
Press > to select Fax Setup then press 'check mark'
Press > to select ALL FAXES then press 'check mark'
Press > to select ERROR Correction press 'check mark'
Press > to select ON or OFF press 'check mark' to save

there is a problem in your toner cartridge replace it

Changing the all-in-one control-panel display language

To change the all-in-one control-panel display language
1. Press Menu.
2. Use the button to select System setup, and then press .
3. Use the button to select Language, and then press .
4. Use the button to select the language that you want.
5. Press to save your selection.
The all-in-one automatically restarts.

Press < or > to select LOCATION
Press CHECK MARK
Press < or > until correct location appears

The printer will now reboot

The instruction below will help you put back the display language you desire for your printer. You may use the procedure below to print out reports or to show messages on the all-in-one control panel.

Here's how:

1.First you need to press MENU.
2.Then, select SYSTEM SET UP.
3.Afterward, select LANGUAGE.
4.Now, choose the language that you prefer. In your case, ENGLISH.
5.You have to SAVE your settings.
6.Finally, wait until your system automatically restarts.

Select "Downloads".
Select "Windows 7".
Download the latest device-driver software for your printer.
Install the software.
Scan the document(s).

Press MENU and then press 2 to access the Secondary Service Menu.
Press < or > to select Location, and then press 'check mark'
Press < or > until correct location appears
When the correct location appears press 'check mark'. Press 1 to confirm.
Printer will now reboot

Sounds like the formatter board or LVPS is bad
