Changed black cartridge now small black dots on

Run the "Disable Cartridge Check" diagnostic
It will allow you to put the black cartridge in a different slot i.e. yellow. If the black cartridge in the yellow slot still puts black dots on the page...it is bad.
Can you put the original old black back in the printer. That will tell you right away if the replacement is bad.

Have HP3600n over just 1year. Having trouble

Start by removing the formatter. Have paper in tray 2.
Print an engine test. You should see repeating lines of cyan, magenta, black and yellow. If any of the colors are missing - run the Disable Cartridge Check. Run the engine test again with the previously missing color in another slot. If that color fails again, replace it. If the issue stays with the slot replace the laser scanner. If the engine test is good now, install a new formatter, power up and see if the calibration hang is gone.

Since we replaced a colour cartridge, the printer

This is an answer to most of the problems of "continuous calibration" in the HP 3600.
When the printer begins to constantly calibrate and falls in line so we have a problem, there are several causes for that problem and must be discarded from the simplest solution to the most complex.
Let's begin:

SOLUTION 1: The first thing to do is turn off the printer, and remove the cartridges, toner dirty or if the internal parts of the printer remove the excess, if there is dirt in the transfer belt clean.then close the front cover and turn on the printer without cartridges. then open the lid, place the magenta cartridge, and close the lid again, and so putting the four cartridges. If the problem persists try the next solution.

Solution 2: We must be alert to any strange noises in the printer, it is likely that one of the sticks is failing, if we are a strange noise came from, and replace the cartridge.

SOLUTION 3: There are times that it is software problem can be solved with a "COLD RESET" to do this we must turn the printer, and press the green button several times in the main menu until you see some options, navigate to the Down Arrow button until COLD RESET appears, press OK. the printer will restart and initialize. then restart and probably reached OK status.

SOLUTION 4: Sometimes by changes in temperature and environment where the printer is out of calibration sensor, to do a need to upgrade the firmware of the printer, usually ends the problem here. To download the firmware of the printer with the improvement due to "Countermeasure for multiple Successive Causing Environmental Sensor Calibrations." is in the following link:

SOLUTION 5: If any of these options serves, it is likely that the mirrors of laser printer are dirty, this requires us to print a sheet to observe defects in print (moved, blurred, misplaced shadows), if any of these defects appear we disassemble the printer for cleaning the laser ... in this link are instructions

No writing on the right

if i read this correctly both color and black are missing from one side?
this is most likely a problem with the belt.
if it was just 1 color or black it would be that toner/drum cartridge or the laser associated with it.

HP LASER JET 3600 HAS A 50.9 ERROR MESSAGE

However what this 50.2 is telling you is the fuser is bad. You can re-seat the fuser, most likely you will need to replace the fuser.

Based on the manual :
50.9 High fuser temperature (sub-thermistor), or pressure release mechanism problem

I found this link on-line that will show you how to replace the fuser or re-seat it.

I am out of Cyan Blue. Now the printer will not

As a temporary measure you can get more printing out of the cartridge by

1 Selection Menu
2 System Setup
3 Replace Supplies
4 Override at out
You will get about 50% more from the cartridge
The printer will keep saying replace toner you can keep using it until it starts to produce poor colour match images
KEEP A WATCH ON IT because if you run TOTALLY it until empty you could damage the fuser

Make sure that it is not overfilled with paper, or there are any obstructions inside the printer like a piece of paper in the pickup area.

ERROR CODE 59.53

There is a problem with the yellow print cartridge drive motor.
You are going to need parts(print cartridge drive motor or the driver board)

If you have a warranty, this is a good time to use it.

My Hp printer won't show the ready indicator. it

This is a fairly common problem with that model. Did you change drum or toner cartridges prior to this happening ? Are there any error messages ? It could be a bad main drive unit or a bad cartridge.
